Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

What will happen to GG when MD comes out?

It won a regionals because there was no answer for it. Mostly due to magmortar. Now there are several. Its a contender in the right hands. But so is kricket. ;/

GG was bad at regionals Lol. T2 GG was really tough because I did not have a banette deck, Lucario/Flygon was awesome.
What Is the point of Gardevoir attacking? only 60 damage to other pokemon (I'd rather use PK), A lot of pokemon can withstand Gardevoir such as a huge 130 HP pokemon. It can be easily beaten, Just you need a quick deck to knock It out with crystal beach.

The orginal ape has a postive matchup against Plox. ;/ And why do people think that Plox is faster then empoleon or any of the other new decks? Cause its not.

If I can get out consistantly a Claydol, a Gardevoir and a Gallade by T3 (Although said Gallade kind of thrives on which supporters you have played at this point), then would you still say I'm being outsped by Empoleon?

I am under the impression that you don't see the fact that MD brings Gardevoir even more potentional toys, or that you choose to see only what you like to see - which is a bigger playing field. While that definitely is the truth, in the end GG will still be Tier 1 come nationals. There will just be more competition for the Nr. 1 spot, but GG CAN still come out on top.

Ultimate Dusknoir: The point of Gardevoir attacking? Oh, I dont know. Lets see, I Wager you, leaving you with 3 cards in your hand, then I attack with Gardevoir. Power Claydol you say? Uh, no, sorry, can't do that. See the problem?

G&G with techs like: Dusknoir / Omastar / weavile etc
Magmortar catty/typhlo or Blaze/dol
Banette
Eeveelutions varients
Togekiss variants
Fossils
Beedrill
Infernape
Empoleon

EDIT: oh and Chomp in there somwhere.

So far this seems to be what will be generally used by most players, it's a shame GG is just too versatile, yeah bannette does have a favorable match up but GG can still win (especially with techs) and most people who have the cards wont use Bannette as it doesnt do so great against the other big contenders.

Eveelutions has the ability to do well and so does Fossils but I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

BRs now is for stealing points, usually it would be the place to test the deck you made form the new set.Since they took away the thrill of multi regionals, its crunchtime so yea G&G will be used alot,if so then BRs should be easy for me.

...guys look at floridas regional

Before the MD set, Ape and Chomp both could give plox a hard time with the right list. They both got a much bigger boost from the MD set. U give chomp rotom and the crazy lvl x, I don't really see gardy giving it a hard time. There are a few other decks that now destroy Plox

It will be greatly played in battle roads. Its popularity will go down just a bit in br but by nationals its gonna be a risky pick. It definately no longer is the bdif, but its still a solid deck. But that's all it is after MD

Yes cause the emp gets out a claydol and 2 empoleon t3. And I'll gladly take that over your gardy and gallade. Potential toys? It gives every deck potential toys. Magmortar can efficently use omastar (although why people would still be playing magmortar is beyond me). Heck, empoleon can efficently use any tech GG can. I only see what I like to see? I think you're the doing that in this case. GG hasn't had anything to worry about before this set. No huge stage 2 hitter that could do it constantly. This set features several of these. Gallade is a bad attacker late game, so GG will have to donk these new decks if it wants to overpower them. Meaning that players WILL be playing cards to counter wager/psychic lock, such as steven's and copy cat. Sure, the GG player can use these cards as well, but when they are getting overpowered, does it really matter?

Actually, Sorry Ultimate Dusknoir. GG might have gotten a little better, look at the new awesome Toxicroak.
Empoleon Is broken because of Holon Mentor, when that gets banned, Pachirisu will be awesome too. Empoleon has a 50/50 chance against GG, It just depends how good your hand Is. A good combination Is Empoleon/ Gorebyss, Confusing and doing heavy damage. Do not forget about the Delta Ampharos and Delta Fearow, all those kind of pokemon can just help your Empoleon be stronger. Here Is some advice, The piplup with the splatter Is mostly what you should start with, you know why? It's because direct aim with Prinplup(DP) at the pokemon you splattered, splatter then Brine, That Is just too good.
