Now that we've got real flyers, I was wondering, where can I put the flyers-legally, that is. I gave some to the store holding the event, but where else can I go?

I have given past tournament flyers to stores like Toys R Us and Target. They will not let you post the, but will hang one up in there employee area. I have also had other stores like softwear ect and gaming stores also taken some to put on counters and such. Just let them know this is a Nintendo tournament. The other place that has taken them would also be KB Toys, but most of there stores are closing.

A better question is where haven't I put them. I have put them in places such as Dairy Queen, McDonalds, Gas Stations, Banks, Post Offices, Flower Shops, Wal Mart, K Mart, Meijer, and laundry mats.

The last one got me the most results.

POP gives them to use to post, we are not given any restrictions on where we can post them, just what we can post. Since they are pre-made by POP you can post them wherever you want. Most places once they find out it is an activity sponcered by Nintendo and Pokemon USA for local kids are more then willing to post them.

Heck I even put one on a telephone pole during a local street fair :)

For best results, I recommend printing them on photo paper. The paper is durable and shiney and looks really professional. May cost about $7 for 20-30 sheets, but it looks really nice and is less likely to get ruined while hanging up.

I have also handed them at at Toy Shows in the area, and last year was able to get 5000 of them handed out at a local Kids Fair.

I just wanted to offer to anyone having a tournament in Southern California, that I will post or pass out your flyers on Camp Pendleton. We are within an hour of most all of the tournaments (except Bakersfield and LV) and we seem to weekly find more kids interested in going with us to the League.
Anyway, just wanted to offer! :)

You can also send copies to local Schools and Libraries. :D

Well, I was planning on giving them out tomorrow, since, well, I'll have some free time. I'll see about getting photo paper, but remember, I'm a poor college student.

    Anything else?

    "and laundry mats.

The last one got me the most results."

I think I know why this works. People go to laudromats and stay there a long time (sometimes hours). Thus, they are likely to see the poster and read the whole thing.

  9. i am guessing as long as permission is granted you can place them almost anywhere. I know many poeple get permission if its something like this yoshi. Ask a local KB toys or card shop because that will definitly attract crowds.
