Where will the Worlds Competitors come from?

OP seemed as good as any to ask this, but...

Where are the competitors for Worlds going to come from?

We know that Origins will produce at least one invite to Worlds. But what is the plan for others?

Will it just be the Winner at Origins (or will it be 1-2 or 1-4)? In each age group?

How does GENCON fit in?

Do the State Winners get an invite/trip?

I've seen rumours (for my UK friends) of Gym and Stadium Challenges. Have we gotten any confirmation on any of this?

State Winners go to Nationals

In May the Gym and Stadium Challenge series is returning! These tournaments compete for the invitation to worlds. Also National winners go to Worlds. The third way to get into World is to be one of the top ranked players by playing in as many Modified Tournaments as possible. To view your ranking and rating, go to http://op.pokemon-tcg.com/tournaments.

Hope that helps

I'm pretty sure anybody can show up for the Nats. States is not necessary.

I think that the State/National crossover will be handled much the same as the City/State crossover, with the top finishers in States getting byes and anyone who wants to show up can play.
