Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Worlds 2006 - Day 3: Main Event - Top32 (Finals)

At least 3 of the top 32 matches involved a player who was down one game to none, needing exactly ONE more turn to win game 2 and tie it, but due to stalling, were not given that last turn. THREE matches should've gone to a third game, with game 2 clearly won by the stalled out player. ONE MORE turn. Judges appeared to be watching all the games, and there was lots of discussion at least at the end of some of them, but at the end, the three games, one turn from a result on the board, ended unfinished on time. 3 players moved on with really, a 1-1 record in their match, and 3 eliminated with really, that same record. Ridiculous. If no one else does, I will make a topic about it in the discussion forum in the next day or so. I don't want to get too much into it this moment but it was the biggest problem of worlds and needs to be addressed. 90 minute rounds again, end of game turn clocks, more leniant to giving time extensions, something has to happen.

What a long thread...

But I read all of it...

So, a few notes I have to get out here:

-Jermy Pwnd. This win was completely his own work. He deserved first last year and third this year.

-Jermy becomes the first person to make top4 at Worlds two seperate times. The next closest is Yamato who made top8 twice.

-LBS did not make the top8 in 15+, but was 3/4ths of the top4 in 10-.

-Yuta Komatsuda (4th, 15+) played Metanite. NOT Sheddy.

-The top8 in 15+ consisted of 6 Americans and 2 Japinese.

-The World Champions from last year placed as follows:
Jermy: 3rd
Stewart: 1-4 DROP
Curran: 37th

does that Eevee deck play nothing to search out Basics apart from Celios? Unless I'm mistaken and it plays the CFF Eevee.
