Worlds 2010 in Hawai'i Fake Card Surprise!

When I realized that my friend and fellow PokéGymite Eskil (aka Tego) was making a stop in San Francisco before flying to Hawai'i, I just HAD to give him something to surprise Pokémon fans with... Either the ones who know me as the Fake Card Master, or those who have never seen a real-looking fake before.

And here they are!

(EDIT: Oops? I can't post images?)

Tadah! Nick15's Zekrom and Nick15's Reshiram, in English and Japanese. It's a mega-dose of awesome for Worlds, because:
* They are my first new fakes in about four years (since the Pokemonathon 10 I did in 2006)
* They feature the new legendaries for Generation V
* One is in English for the Western fans and the other is in Japanese for the Japanese fans (translation made by Tego, thanks again!)
* I also tried my best to create original artwork for them, despite the fact that only one official piece of art exists for each of them...

Tego is currently in the process of handing them out at Worlds right now (well, at least in between judging, of course!) I also didn't throw in any kind of advertising or whatever... only because I wanted people to enjoy the cards for what they were, as they are, and not as some kind of advertisement for my site. I really DID do it for the love of the art and for the fans.

BONUS: Special uncut version exist for VIPs... but Tego may actually have some leftover for you. You might get lucky and snag one!

Also! Don't worry, I'm not gonna leave the people who can't be at worlds out in the cold... I have another fake that I hope to post exclusively to the Gym soon. But... we'll see what I can do!

Anyways, I hope you enjoy these fakes! And for those of you lucky enough to be at Worlds to get the fakes themselves, I wish I was there! :D

Oh yeah, and for those of you who are Japanese-impared (like me!), here's what Nick15's Reshiram's card says:

POKÉ-POWER: Turbo Fire
Once during your turn (before you attack), if you attached a fire Energy card to Nick15's Reshiram, you may attach another basic Energy card from your hand to another one of your Pokémon. If you do and that Pokémon is affected by a Special Condition, that Pokémon is no longer affected by a Special Condition.

F: Flare (20)
You may discard 1 Fire Energy card attached to Nick15's Reshiram. If you do, you may remove 3 damage counters from any of your Pokémon.

FFFF: Heat Shield (50)
You may remove 1 damage counter from any of your Pokémon for each Fire Energy card attached to Nick15's Reshiram, and during your opponent's next turn, your Active Pokémon cannot be affected by a Special Condition.

... Nifty moves, huh? I'm still not used to designing with the newer, stronger moves and stats (like 4 energy to do 90 damage and 160HP on a non-Pokémon-ex)... So I'm not sure for myself if these cards are balanced, under-powered or over-powered. Tego, who helped me tweak the cards, tell me that they are balanced (for a Basic Legendary Pokémon), but my inner Pokémon TCG player has a hard time believing in the new styles. BUT, hopefully it satisfies YOUR descerning eye!

Enjo!! :) :)

Thanks guys!

Just so you know too, this won't be the last fakes I'll be making... In fact, something nifty and interesting (and OFFICIAL) may be in the pipeline! :) But I think I've said too much... ;)

I missed out on getting these... I saw Eskil several times while Judging and had no idea he even had these. :(

Very cool looking cars though.

And here is the Gym staff with our uncut Nick15 fake cards!
