no, what happened was, let's say, like what happened, 3 US and 1 Canadian T4'ed. The top 4 canadians would still get invited with trips, but the US players that T4'ed (or worse since i had an invite and 5th seed didn't) would get a brand new invite, so 4 canadians still got invites....
edit: i think the only ones where us won invites was in canada....(also, canada had GC's)

Mmmk, this clears things up. Thx, Else. (And BTW, you now occupy my previous spot on the post count list at #9. Metal Master bumped me down again to #11. Just a random fact that I'm sure you weren't interested in. :p)

Metagross, yeah that would be a good idea. Although I'm pretty sure that you won't need to check and see who's coming, because the foreign players who don't come will have their invites up for grabs at the grinder, right? It would be nice to know how many representatives we're getting from other countries, though.

I'll continue to edit the list until we have a fairly accurate projection for how many people will be coming in the 15+ age group because I have absolutely nothing better to do. =/

Joner, Jordan H., and like at least 2 others won as 11-14 and are going to be in 15+ It is hard to get an exact number.

Number of invites give to each country for the 15+ age group:

USA:
49 Gym Challenges: 49
13 Regional Championships: 26
'05 Nationals: 4
'05 Canadian Nationals: 3
'04 World Championships: 1
Total: 83

Canada:
'05 Canadian Nationals: 4
'04 World Championships: 1
Total: 5

Japan:
'05 Japan National Championships: 8?
'04 World Championships: 3
Total: 11?

UK:
'05 UK Nationals: 4
Total: 4

Belgium:
'05 Belgium Nationals: ? (4 Invites overall, not 15+)
Total: ?

Germany:
'05 German Nationals: 4
Total: 4

These numbers are far from complete, and I especially need to know who placed in the Top 4 at Belgium Nats so I can determine if Belgium Nationals (which was an open event, I'm pretty sure) was won by people from their own country or not. I think I remember reading that 2nd place was irwinmalek, who is from England, so I need the results for there to be anything but a question mark in that position.

There were Canadian Gym Challenges to. So you might want
to take that into account Wooper.

Mexico:

4 from Nationals
2 from Gym Challenges

sadlt tho only like 2 maybe 3 ARE using their invites.

Cool, thanks Mudkip. I'll update, as well as update with 2 Canadian Gym Challenges. That puts Mexico and Canada at six invites each.

What about all the players that drop! There was like 50 some ppl who dropped last year.

POP should really have a math guy handy to do calculations at major tournaments so that tiebreaks/resistance is more towards letting some of the lower record players in as opposed to knocking out the higher players out. POP shouldnt have allowed 4 people to miss the cut with 6-2 at nationals. 4 "5-3's" making it makes people a LOT more happy than 4 "6-2's" missing it. Just add a round if you have to. Ohh wait, that's impossible, you cant run another round because you have to finish the tourney before 9:00 PM! .
