Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Worlds invites

In Seniors it was somewhere around 1840 or so. It won't help you much this year because the K values changed quite a bit. Wins last year gave you more points than wins this year, with wins at Nationals counting considerably more than cities.

Thanks, do you think there's an estimate for what the cut-off is going to be this year or is it to soon to tell?

Well I know for masters it was around 1835-1845 so it is a huge guess. You have to put alot of things in the equation.

What was last years last rating (1835-1840)
Who made top 4 at worlds and is doing well this year?
Does your area have high-ranked players?
Can you beat the high ranked players?
Can you go to many events?

You also have to factor that the K-Value was severely dropped form last year so points are worth much-much more. I am pretty sure you will see 1820s making it in but, thats just me talking:)

You have 3 masters & 2 juniors above 1820 right now without states, regionals, or nationals being played yet.

I'm certainly not an expert on this but I would expect the number to be higher. Much higher.

What are you talking about? You just said something that has no facts behind it. I feel and I think many other players feel the number will be lower. Here are some interesting facts to why it maybe lower.

Last year Masters invites went down to 39th which was a rating of 1837.33, now that seems low and you know what it is. Last year they gave an additional 8 invites to Masters players at Nationals so instead of it being T8 it was T16,

Here are a few things that you should consider. I find it hard to believe that anyone who makes T8 will NOT be in the T25 for Masters ratings. So lets for the heck of it say that 8 players (it might be lower this year due to the K value) but that means the T33 will have invites plus anyone that already has one. So let's say that none of the 3 players (I think it is 3) that have invites for Masters in NA are in the T25.

So now your thinking well we have 8 less invites given out the number should be higher. Well your WRONG because this year the tournaments have a lower K value. BRs are 4 instead of 8, Regionals are 32 instead of 40 which means every win is worth LESS. Nationals are 32 instead of 44 which means every win is worth LESS. This lends me to believe that the number is going to be close to the same. Last year I went to Nationals at or around 1858. I didn't think that would of been enough, however if I didn't play I would of made it in if they hadn't given out an additional 8 spots (I believe, I am not sure I know it was close). I expect that if you get over 1850 your in, if your around 1830 your going to be close however I can clearly see the line being lower or higher but I expect it to be near 1830.
