:frown: *sigh* :frown: people who are lucky enough to win a ticket to the worlds are lucky... allot of peole don`t realise how lucky they are. one of my dreams (after being a millionare being a famous magician, and owning my own teradactyl) is going to the worlds. just being there would be great. the next worlds, i`ll be 14. my final chance in 11-14, and i don`t feel like playing against william hung! i really wanna kick butt. can someone give me some tips on training, playing, and what i should use at the moment. this year dragatrode won. a girl called chaniese (or however you spell it) won. she always uses the top deck at the time, and plays it like the back off her hand. if i can beat her, and other quick, beatdowns, i`ll probebly do well. at the moment, vileplume ex could probebly do well. heres my list at the moment:

1 Jirachi HL
2 Cleffa UF
3 Pidgeot S2
2 Pidgeotto RG
3 Pidgey RG
4 Vileplume ex HL
3 Gloom UF
4 Oddish UF
12 Grass Energy
4 Double Rainbow Energy
4 Rare Candy
3 Professor Cozmo's Discovery
2 Crystal Shard
3 Copycat
4 Mt. Moon
3 Professor Oak's Research
3 Prof. Elm's Training Method

it may be a little early to be thinking about the worlds, but i really wanna win. if you think i should use something else, please say. a good t2 fast killing deck would rock. this deck would be faster without kingdra, but i`m not taking any chances with that weakness.

uh... i think this should be in deck help section, also,it doesnt matter what you play now cause there will be new sets out b4 any big events

I went to Worlds this year this year at 13 and got top 16 . and next year for Worlds I'lle be 14 also. Some tips are build as many Metagame decks as possible, get with some friends and play all of them like 20 times each.
Try new things in your deck.Use prosses of elimination. You won't know what works unless you try everything. Listen to other people's advice.

I hope this helps

Also stage 2 decks arent really the way to go in todays metagame. At Worlds I ran Slowking and now I run an even better slowking. It's good because it's a T2 deck and it's consitent. You don't have to go with a T2 deck. When I'm looking for a deck to run I sit down and read every card I own and think of good combos. I also go on Pokegym.

It's not to early to think about Worlds. I started training for Worlds the weak after it.

Just remember practice makes perfect. :thumb:

i think i`ll play apprentice with my friends just for fun so i can practice, and keep a close eye on pokemon news to see good cards come out. about 2 months before the next grinder or city champs (wichever comes first) i`ll diside wich deck to use, then train like hell. thanx for the advise too.

lol, Laetitia won our nationals, but she's belgian, and played machamp. (grinder?)
Jeanette came in second, with dragtrode.

Jeanette is beatable, use the fact that she's very predictable, like you said, she always plays a deck that did well in America last months.
If you expect a certain deck , use another top tier that has high winning odds against it.

if you want to be a good player you gotta have like 3-5 completed decks and play people that are hard dont be affraid of them. play against as many different kind of decks.

as for your vilplume deck eh you might wanna choose another deck. double rainbow energy doesnt work on EX pokemon.

In Holland, the only way to win a trip or invitation to Worlds is the Dutch Nationals. If you really want the trip, then you could go and play in Internation Tournaments, like the Stadium Challenge we went to in Austria.

Just a quick deck fix - Double Rainbow can't be attached to EX Pokemon, so I'm not sure you'll want to play 4 of them. You could play boost if you want to attack Turn 2, but otherwise, just play Grass + Heal/Warp/Cyclone energies.

Trainers doesn't look solid enough to me, especially your supporters. You're gonna need some more 'draw' trainers on top of your regular hand. Try:

4 Rare Candy
3 TV Reporter (I like this better than Cozmo, although you're gonna have to play Cozmo until September 30th)
2 Crystal Shard (I don't think you need 2, really)
2 Copycat
4 Mt. Moon
3 Rocket's Admin (This beats Prof. Oak's in almost every way. This card won me a LOT of games cos I could disrubt the opponent's hand)
2 Prof. Elm's Training Method
3 Steven's Advice

I'd take out one Gloom to make the third Steven's Advice fit in - you're gonna want to evolve with rare candy, because your opponent can't play Ancient Technical Machine anyway.

Just play lots of games, try to see if you can come to any tournaments (there's one in Groningen this Saturday, hint hint :p) and come prepared to our Nationals next year! :D
