Worth of a Houndour Pokedoll?

Hi! I have a Houndour Pokedoll that I got many years ago and I was shocked to see that now it is (apparently) worth a pretty penny. I love Houndour and hate to let it go, but I'm trying to save money back to help pay for tuition at a private university next year (AKA: eeeek!!!!!)

He does not have his paper tags, but does have his tush tag. He is in great condition otherwise - never played with, only displayed on my dresser for many years.

I'm thinking about listing him on eBay, but I have no idea what price to start him at and I don't want to risk him for going way too low. Any suggestions please? Thank you! Here's a crappy cell phone picture of him:

Without a hangtag, the value is decreased significantly...
I'm going to ask a friend of mine for a quote, since I don't generally deal with pokedolls myself. I'm currently trying to auction a few off on a different community. Give me a day or so to get you a reply.

I asked a mod on the other community, she said with the hangtag it would be worth a TON more, without it you are looking at probably $50-60, just the problem with putting it for sale on ebay or whatever is the fact that ebay usually is littered in booties for pokedolls so you might have people that don't believe it is legit and you could get a lot less than what I just quoted, or you can get 2 collectors who really want it and still get a nice sum. Out curiosity.
Does it decrease the value If you take the tags off, but save them.
I keep mine in a dresser, they even stay flat, and probably a lot nicer this way.
I mean they're just attached with one of those plastic zip tie things. You could easily, get one and reattach if you really wanted to.

2. The Japanese ones are worth more
Seems like this is a Nintendo world/ US one, with out the tag maybe like $5-7.

way more than that, this pokedoll got a very short run and is of a very popular pokemon. This one is identical to the japanese one minus copyright info (the later japanese ones are worth more as they were made with minky fabric, whilst the US ones were made with velboa) the quote for around $50-$60 is definately about right, if it was mint with tags it would be about double.
 
Thank you all SO much for the help and luck. I got mine from the Pokemon Center website a few years ago when they offered merchandise for sale (wish they still did!) I so wish I had at least kept the tags :( I think I will try putting him on eBay for $40-$50 so and see what happens.
 
I have been to Nintendo World aka the Former Pokemon Center it's the same building..
The only difference is Nintendo World isn't all Pokemon, like Pokemon Center was.

They have some Pokemon stuff (actually a lot of it) but no where near to the entirety it used to be.
 
nintendo world plushes dont go for alot only a few specific ones like eevee and its evolutions.its really not the pokemon center just the 1st floor half of the area is just filled with pokemon items.somtimes they get older plushies in stock with the new tags while sometimes they dont.
