WoTC Card Style(Sorry if it's in the wrong spot; wasn't sure where to put it)

On the first through third days, some TCG making company created Pokemon Cards...and they saw taht they were good.
On the fourth through sixth days, another company took over the Pokemon TCG...and they saw that they were bad.
On the seventh day, a new style was created...one that granted some type of nostalgica.

Alright, here's the main idea: I loved the old WoTC design-the little Pokedex thing at the bottom, the layout and the awesome-lookign hand drawn art.

I hated the E-Reader/EX cards-ugly as ****, too many 3D pictures and just plain...blergh.

The new style, however, looks MUCH BETTER-it's kinda an update of the old WoTC style.

It may be because I grew up on the WoTC cards that I hate the E-Readers...but I may not be. Anyone else agree.

And to put some blame on WoTC, I hated how they started the 3D picture trend in the Neo sets...I liked the handdrawn pictures from the Base Set, Jungle, Fossil, etc MUCH BETTER.

COmments? Thoughts? Opinions?

The only comment would be that is has been the same company designing the cards through all these different changes, PCL in Japan (Game Freak or Creatures?).

The only thing that the company in the US does, WotC or Pokemon USA, is translate and distribute them.
They have zero input into the card design. And I'd say this belongs in Gossip, so I'll move it there.

Oh. Thanks for the clarification and for moving it.

Why did they change they card design three times(WoTC, E-Reader/EX, DP)?

I can guess that it has the same use as magic cards got an uplift for, they wanted to refresh the feel of the cards, sometimes, to coincide with the release of a new era of videogames.
