I'm a fan of the World Championship decks, i don't know, its like 'immortalize' a deck,
now a lot of 'classic' decks have come and gone, stall-alakazam, haymakers, slowking decks, etc
sure they are unlimited and might not be 'good' anymore but i feel they payed their dues

I know it probably would never happen, but I atleast have started building 'classic' decks just for fun,

am i the only one?

yeah, it would be hard for everyone, or even most ppl, to agree on a decklist... but its a cool idea

I'm sure your skills will come in use if you can find a league that does BS-G2 constructed tournaments or something like that. I have a lot of players at my league who have been playing since 1999 and I'm thinking about having an "old cards only" constructed event since we all have so many old cards.

If you have all those BS, JU, FO, etc. cards and you don't plan to sell them, you might as well use them. There aren't any premiere events in Unlimited, but there are tournaments out there with prizes. I'm sure you can find one. If you can't find one- organize one yourself and encourage people to play both formats.

Where I am, the player base for both formats is strong because we have so many people crossing formats. If anybody has any trouble going from one format to the other, I give them advice and do some trades with them to help them build a good deck.

I think the best kind of player is the kind that plays both formats. It's great to be able to use all those old cards and to also be able to play in Premiere events.

As for your "Base Set Only" deck, I think that would be really fun to play a Base deck against another; It would be like going back in time. Fun :thumb:
