Pokémon TCG: Sword and Shield—Brilliant Stars

Your first deck.

I think the first deck that I ever had but didn't make was the Lapras starter from Fossil. I never even played the deck, so that is why I don't count it as my first.

The first time I really played the game was in Pokemon Play It! on the PC. (the first one)

The first deck I used all the time was Alakazam/Xatu/Espeon. When I started played in tournaments, I made a weird Latios*/Shiftry DX/Jolteon d deck, but I was trying to build a better deck, that was an archetype. Problem was, I thought I knew about archetypes. I knew about Rocklock, LBS, Raindance, Mewtrick, Haymaker, and Mulligan Mewtwo. I ended up playing Mewtrick.

my first legal deck was something like torterra , carnivine, and like roserade, good for a beginner!
won a battle raoads with it "snort"

Scyther From Jungle and other grass pokemon
nothing was resistant to grass in the old days.

The Memories...

a little less than a year ago, I played the best deck that ever graced the Carolinas...

4-2-1 Gengar LM
4-2-1 Metagross DX
4-2 Tentacruel LM
Random basics with high HP

But I never super connected. I never took the time to read metagross' power...I thought the 2 energy for 70 (sometimes) was a good enough reason to play it already.

I went to a CC with this. My record was 4-1. I got a bye round 1. Erik Nance was there and he wrote down a the best website for pokemon on a piece of paper (pokegym.net). Since then my decks have gotten a bit better. thanks erik

I'm still on my first deck! Ex Dragon Frontiers Shadow Blaze with a bunch of other cards I got for free from someone giving them away. (I did a 50/50 split with my son.) I have no idea what I'm doing! I've got a Larvitar and a Pupitar, though. (I wonder why?)

Something making use of Base Set Alakazam. Not quite damage swap, but it had the same general idea. Not a very good deck, but I was quickly introduced to the Haymaker type at my league.

my very first deck was based on base kadabra, 3 for 50 and i think it had jungle exeggutor in there too. my first ever tournament deck was dark blastoise, it was a single elim tournament and i won the first round, losing in the second.

good times!

Someone I know personally first deck and won a monthly tournament with THAT deck...

4-4 Wailord
4-2/2/1 Delcatty lm-pk-cg.
4 buffers
4 potions
etc

he faced me in the last round and i conceded to him since i loved his deck...even thought i was winning but conceded... good times....

My fist deck I put in pokemon that I liked like picachu-richu(base set), wigglytuff, Scyther, and evee with joltion, and snorlax. It was slow and did not do well but I still got my deck together stored some wehre in my hosue.

First deck... hmm... I know it had most of my rare cards. Like BS Dragonair, and Fossil Scyther and Pinsir. But Dragonair was the star of the deck, with Hyper Beam.

I don't remember much after that one... I think I used it a LONG time with some minor tweaks. Then I read online about archetypes and made a Rain Dance deck.

My first one was back in base set. It was like...Charizard (Base Set) + Ninetails (Base Set) + Electrode (Base Set).

It worked pretty well cause of Electrode's power especially :p
