Yu-Gi-Oh! Anti-Climactic ending to Waking the Dragons

Usually at the end of each storyline Yu-Gi-Oh has a huge duel to decide the fate of the world. This time all he did was summon some monsters from the past. This was a big letdown. Darts was easily defeated. His great Leviathon was weaker than any other monster. What a sorry way to end the story.

he had the big duel last week (and I friggin missed it, lol). I was watching it and thinking, "is YGO starting to become more like Pokemon?" I mean, seriously, they started calling out their monsters over the past few weeks like they were Pokemon coming out of a Pokeball or something. I thought THAT was HYSTERICAL. Other than that, the Legendary Dragons were a joke, the Leviathon was even worse, and the Gods looked pathetic being subservient to Yami, especially considering that those were just spirits and not the cards being played...

Yeah, when Seto Kaiba, Joey, and Yu-Gi-Oh released their monsters it was way too reminiscent of a Pokemon trainer releasing a Pokemon. What happens when one of their monsters is "Knocket Out"? Does it return to their deck and does the Yu-Gi-Oh trainer have to visit a Pokemon Center to get it revived? I don't understand!

It goes to the discard pile, called the graveyard in yu-gi-oh.

Yeah, because summoning a horde of Egyptian gods to face down a thinly-veiled Great Serpent (forget its name, but it's obviously a thinly-veiled god of the Sumerian age) that was intent on reshaping the world isn't dramatic at all. Yeah, they finished Dartz off pretty quickly, but they'd just finished a big duel against him. Fans would hate two big duels in a row against the same person, especially one as hacked up in the dub as Dartz.

Remember that Yami Yugi is in reality the Pharaoh Atem (you saw him go "Atem Mode" for a few seconds, when his skin got darker and the Sennen Eye was in his forehead), and in addition to the fact that Egyptians believed their Pharaohs to be as gods, Atem also sealed away the Shadow Realm and banished the Games of Darkness using the Sennen Items. I'm pretty sure that something like that would merit the gods' subservience.

Speaking of which, when are we going to get to see Zok or whatever his name is? I forget most of what he is, except that he's got something to do with the time Bakura messed around with one piece of the Puzzle before Battle City.

was this weekend's a repeat? wasn't home or anywhere near a TV to see it...
