Zapdos and Old Amber

Old Amber - as long as Old Amber is on your bench, prevent all damage done to Old Amber by attacks (Both Yours and your opponent's)

Zapdos - (L)(L)(C) Raging Thunder - 80: Does 40 damage to one of your benched Pokemon, don't apply weakness or resistance to this damage.

My Question is this: Can I target Old Amber for the side effect of Zapdos' raging Thunder and Old Amber and successfully do no damage at asll with the side effect?

Old Amber would take no damage from Raging Thunder, and yes, you could choose Old Amber, even if you had other Pokemon you could damage instead.
