zapdos ex deck question

I was thinking about playing one for provincials. Is it still a popular one to play or do you guys think it will get [edited]

Probably should take this up in Deck Help & Strategy.

But, for the sake of response, its still a strong deck. Not invincible/overpowered, but not something you're going to wipe the floor with.

Its a brilliant deck - I quit playing it because I did not find it fun though. Same as Ttar/Amph, I think its quite boring. Although there's no reason why not to play a boring deck if it works well.

Zapdos is the kind of deck that anyone could pick up and play though, although building one can be complicated as you have to think about chance and ratios.

I don't think it's as strong. I get wins 3 out of 3 games against, with it getting a good setup.

yea i agree with what you have to say. I seems to be human nature if something is very popular w/ the people there is always the same amount of people who hate on it. I.e boy bands, tv shows, pokemon decks :biggrin: etc.

Zapdos goes first....... you get one Basic, it gets a Recharger, it gets 2 energies - you're in for a bit of a hard time......... XP

Although draw into a match with it and its in trouble! Especially with all the decks that play Lightning this, Lightning that.... I mean, I have seen Lightning in Blaziken, Draggy, The Rock that doesn't actually Lock, Gardy, Blastoise, Zappy itself of course, and Lightningstarter ......... the list goes on, Lightning is very popular its fair to say.

In case any newbies read that and wonder what I mean, Zapdos ex is weak to lightning.

yea lightning is pretty popular since in the modified there is hardly and resistance prominence to it as there was in unlimited. that and lightning is fast hehe i smell a pun somewhere :biggrin: . There is also a lot of pokes weak to it as well.

Plus a lot of decks can make use of DR Magneton which can take down Zappy very easily.

And because Electric is so popular, so is Fighting (the rest of your decks weakness).

I never said that the deck was bad. I'm only saying that the deck is easy to play. All the moves you can make are so obvious that the deck plays itself.

Blaze actually takes some decision making, ttar takes a lot of decision making, all I said that zapdos gets by with a minimum of actually thinking about your moves.
