zapdos ex error card

i recently boyght this zapdos ex , because i thought it was the zapdos ex error card with no holo thing inside as the correct zapdos ex has and so does moltres ex and articuno ex
the seller confirmed me it had no holo saprk inside it and i want to know how much worth it is ...

Looks a lot like two of my Articuno EX cards. I can't be sure if it's an error card since my Articunos just had a little kid accident. Some kid had just ripped of the top holo layer of the card making it look something like that. I'd have to have the card in my hand to see if this was the case or if it's really an error card.

Has anyone else seen these "error" cards? I wanna know if it's really an error :p

thedarktwins had a copy of one of those. i think they are pretty rare. you got lucky to have bought it for such a low price.
 
i dont remember. i dont remember if anyone even went for it due to it's rediculous starting price. i know he put a high number on it, somewhere in the $200 range, but i'd wait to see if your card is the same before pulling a stunt like that.

Ben- I never listed it...

I decided that i would rather keep the card than sell it... My Card has no icy thing on any part of the card including the border...

The "value" will probably be determined by just how common the printer's error is. If one printer made a single run then corrected the mistake...cha ching! If even 5% of all Zappys out there are messed up...cha chong; it might add a buck or two to the potential selling price. Input is needed from the the Pokegym faithful. Inspect your Zapdos-ex cards and report.
 
I have a Moltres ex like this (currently on loan to avmozz if he ever returns). And Drew has 2 of the Zapdos right? It seems like the printer runs out of the special foil VERY rarely so before a new roll is put on a card gets printed.
 
I have a zapdos and an articuno, both missing the crystal effect on them both from packs during my prerelease, quickly traded for them, figuring they might be worth something.

I have checked all my Legendary Bird -ex pokemon and all of them have the full card holo effect. From the posts this looks like an early printing error that was corrected or isolated to whoever made the printing run(s) for the first boxes that went to some pre-release tourneys. Now we need someone to put one for auction on ebay touting the error as a price spiker.
 
hey i have just checked and no , he lied , the card is not special i am really sad because the only purpose of me for buying it was that an now i have a normal zapdos ex
