Zekrom Error 114/114

I'm pretty sure the grey one is how Zekrom is supposed to be - look at the art on the featured cards page for Black & White:

Going by this, the shiny black Zekrom is incorrect.

EDIT - just seen Nintendan's post with the link to the larger picture in the card database. You can clearly see that it is supposed to be on a different colour (grey) background so that the Pokémon stands out. http://www.pokemon.com/us/trading-cards/database/bw-series/bw1/114/
 
Yeah, I think that the black one is the error. When I went on Pokemon TCG online, the Zekroms were grey background.
 
We may just have to play the waiting game on this one.
Obviously the error has been recognised and corrected, so we just need to see which one sticks around in the long run.

Eventually we will get to a point where later print runs are all people can find, and everyone is pulling one version and not the other. The one still being pulled is the corrected version.
 
There appear to be three. Pure black, the first one we saw. Light grey, the one used in publicity images. Dark grey, the one people seem to be pulling now. (I've gotten two of the dark grey recently, and seen 3 more pulled...)

Are we sure current print runs are one colour? Sounds to me at least three distinct shades have been spotted. Why on earth TPCi can't get their printers to do a decent job is beyond me
 
I'm currently trying to complete the b/w set. Why is it that when i try to buy this or the reshiram equivalent on eBay, people want $15? my wal mart has the tins they come with for $15, so i could spend that same price and get boosters as well. I feel sorry for anyone who pays that price for the single...

just a prediction, in the future, the error will probably be worth a smidgen more.
 
The tins don't come with the full art cards, they come with promo versions of the basic art cards, numbered BW004 and BW005.

$15 is a decent price for a full art IMO.
 
It's already been stated in the thread that these are not reverse holos.
Both versions are found in the rare spot of the pack.
 
Well this might help people figure out which one is the error. I just pulled a French Zekrom from a French pack (obviously:tongue:) and it was inbetween the gray and black versions. And B/W came out in French on June 2nd so it's a later print run than the English ones.

I have three different Zekrom 114 cards... and I have pictures if anyone wants to see them. I still haven't seen Reshiram #113 or the pikachu.. rawr.
 
I have the middle one and the left one, but not the right one. The middle one I have, I damaged a little. :/
:p I got mine from Blister packs and tins, which I don't think have codes for at all.
