Zwelious' Draw In and Special Darkness Energy

The wording of Zwelious (96/124) "Draw In" attack from Dragons Exalted states to attach 2 Darkness energy cards from your discard pile to itself. Is it allowed to attach Special Darkness energy(ies) cards in this way?
