Now with FR LG's release, i am going to remake this deck. However, i want people's opinion to see if this is actually a good idea, THEN i'll spend my money on it. No, its not tournament deck, so you dont have to be THAT strict :)
Any Constructive fix, Different complimentary card ideas, and non idiotic posts with no intention other than showing off your signature or your "godlikeness when it comes to this game" is extremely welcomed. If you dont have anything constructive to say, get out.

How will you get all the enegy in to discard pile and youll have to wait to evolve Dragonite until you knock out the Trode
david0925

Energy into discard pile can be done in several ways
-TV Reporters
-DEX's Attacks
and i dont have to wait to evolve DEX until trode's knocked out. I can simply attach it to a, say, dunsparce and just call for power them. Even retreating is capable of cutting my energies into discard. I just dont do it until absolutely necessary

Don't be so harsh, DEX isn't all that bad. First of all he could just simply attack with Electrode EX and if it is about to get knocked out he can use it's power. Not everything can OHKO EEX so he could get a couple of prizes before he gets k.o.ed. After that Dragonite will be doing either 70 a turn, or 120 if he is lucky. Like he said it's not a tournament deck. I think this deck sounds like a really fun deck. I say add in Magneton (dragons) or some Energy Recycle Systems to get your energy back just in case you dont/cant use Electrode EX. Magneton would be good because it can get energy back, but it can also attack those EX-resistant Pokemon.

It is always fun tackling decks that are just not obviously good. Sometimes straying from cookie cutter decks will give you new ideas....=\
i want help to make DEx at least a decent deck. If you do not want to help, you can just simply not reply. Coming in a bash is just not necessary at all

well you could try a Multi colored Deck ( meaning Tri-color_ ) using Parasect. Or you can Try Azumarril and Lanturn

I don't think Electrode ex is the best combo with Dex because of the 2 prize loss. TM Camerupt, or TA Lanturn, or Parasect like Shdwchu said or some other pokemon that put more than 1 energy a turn into play sounds good. :)
3+Color decks= i may consider
Here's the logic about Camperupts
-20HP for 1 energy fetched, so 3 maximum retrieve without healing 3x=6 energies. So for the same price, TMC returns 1 more energy than Electrode does, IF im lucky to set 2 up concurrently.
Trode, on the other hand, can act as a initial offense, which will help me quickly dump those energies into the discard with its OWN attack, which is good. Besides, early trode can knock things out (70 for 2 energies, 2 discarded, even without TV Reporter Support), which will set things up much more quickly than TMC can. I will still test out different ideas though, thanks in advance :)

Actually now that I think about it, TM Camerupt might be pretty good. You start with sparce and attach an energy for SARs, when you have Dragonite EX set up you can retreat sparce to Dragonite and use Camerupt's power. From there Dragonite will be adding energy to the discard pile while TM Camerupt can fetch them for you. You'll be doing 70 a turn. This deck is starting to sound better and better to me. If you still decide to go with Electrode EX, I am sure it is very fast and gives quick offense so it will be good as well, but doesn't give you as many 70 a turn damage. Not to mention it is 2 prizes. Imagine Dragonite EX with 2 Camerupts backing it up! :D Same 2 energys every turn! (Be sure to include healing though)
Good imput from lots of people. When Boost comes back I think this deck will get even better, not because of the 120 damage (that is a 50/50 chance) but because Gardy will be back, and since this deck lays such little energy down Gardy won't be doing much damage. Not to mention it's colorless so good for Salamence EX when it comes out, and resistance to grass and fighting is not bad at all!

Camerupt is my old deck's format, i dont like Name affiliated ones, so i see Trode as a possibility, as i mentioned, without healing, Camerupt only gives 1 extra energy, and i need to invest one extra color (at least 4 multis) to use it. I tried it, still locked by Safeguard because very few times i can attack with Camerupt

But won't trode just get locked up as well by safeguard? Well if you dont want TM Camerupt, how about TA Lanturn. You get that extra energy (not as easy as camerupt) but with magneton you should be fine, and you can use it since you will be running lightning energy. Or you could use Raichu from fr/lg and recharge for energy. Well I dont know, I'm sure Elecrode will work fine too, voltorb can recharge so that makes getting more energy out faster.

All we need to do is tech in a Wobba or 2 and save the multi for them

After watching the JPN Players and their Magma decks, I am a believer in not needing to "MAX" out somethings in every deck. This deck is consistent... the thing I don't use in here is the Reversals (always get tails)... I would choose WarpPoints or somethihng for switching out... Warp Point works becuz of DEX's amazing abuse to pull energy from your damaged DEX. and the NRG count is low, but that is what Camerupt is for! You could almost drop Maxie to 2 and it wouldn't hurt becuz of VS Seeker now... GL and sorry about going the "Norm" here... but Spectreon and I kinda ran with this deck idea in the old Modified Format and it didn't have legs... we have tons of posts about it form Months ago Printed out... RSon is a little better for this deck.. not much, but a little! GL!!

Mr. Meches:
Thanks for the fix. As i stated, i am testing a different approach other than TMC. I did it with TMC before like you have.
Japanese Magma Decks do not max out stuff because they have different attackers, the biggest of being TM Groudon. They dont max things out because they dont use Stage 2's at all. If i run a deck with Stage 2s, it is essential that i Max the basic and stage 2 out at least so the chances of drawing it great. Delcatty is a great card. I'll probably fit it into my Electrode Version of the deck. Seems to pick up even more speed like that. I'll give both extensive testing and i'll tell you guys about the results later.
P.S I use Reversal, because its needed to rid those Safeguard....In the future, Delcatty with boost can take care of them. Now, delcatty with 5 random energies will as well :P

Raichu from FRLG is good for charging up your bench. And if you want energy in your discard you could just leave Raichu with a bunch of energy on it. I do pretty well with it as you can see by my sig.
