Not the sample e-cards, but still Nintendo made cards. Does anyone know what came packaged with it originally? Has anyone seen these on old ebay since (what did they go for)? Any details would be much appreciated!

i have a set, they did not come "packaged" with anything
i bought my off ebay for ooo i think it was like $35
i have not seen them up since and i DO check ebay for EVERYING alot
i would consider them pritty rare
the only way to tell them apart is there "id #" just under the picture on the left hand side of the card :D
good cards, pretty hard to aquire...... :D
o yea and i got a whole set of those sample's too LOL, boy i remember the first time i saw those on ebay LOL

I wonder if they'd be legal since they were nintendo made.. Probably not, but who knows?

Wizards ruled that they were techincally legal for play (since they were the exact same cards in the Expedition set), but since Expedition is no longer a Modified set, it won't see much play IMO.

GodTrainer, I am not sure what cards you have, but these two cards that Phil is asking about have Japanese VS set cards back. These cards came in a package of 4 cards, but the other 2 weren't Pokemon cards. One was for the Kirby game, but I don't remember the 4th one. WhiteNinja5 will know for sure. At one point in time they were going for less than $10 each on e-bay. I got mine by trading 4 reverse holos for each. Of course that was at the time when market was crowded with them.

There were 5 cards total the Hopip, the Pichu, Mr Game and Watch(not sure if that's what it's called), Kirby and the scan card to see if you won a contest they were running at the e3.

thatsssss right i remember those now, yea they were the cards i was talking about, i forgot about the other cards because they were not pokemon so i didnt care lol
on the frount of the card that IS the only way to tell them apart
and if you remmeber at the time we WERNT sure if the new cards were going to have the "english" or the japanese backs to them, so at the time the ID was the only way to distinguish them apart.
