Hey all my Memphis players!!! GREAT TO HEAR FROM YOU AGAIN!!!

Unfortunately, we have outgrown our home at Triple Play - no more playing on the floor!!!

We will be holding the Memphis PreRelease in the Embassy Suites in Germantown (exact addy to follow) - hotel phone number 901-684-1777!!

And yes ! Nitia will be there helping me run the event - room for over 150 players!!!

When! Saturday November 6th, 2004! Registration and LUNCH begins at 11:00!

Tourney starts at NOON!!!

SPECIAL - NEW PLAYER TRAINING starts at 10:00 for any of you who are new players - or are bringing new players - Starter decks of sets will be available for purchase - and we will have "trainer decks" to teach you how to play - and oh, did I tell you - FOR anyone bringing a NEW player to play in the main event - or the theme deck challenge, the new player will get a bonus pack, and the person bringing them will get a new pack!!! WHAT A BONUS!!! That's what you get for getting new people into the game!

Cost for the event is $18.00 - includes the tournament - a FREE deck box for your goodies, and lunch!!!

WOW!! add on bonuses!!

Oh - and EVERYONE who plays is GUARANTEED 4 prize packs of ROCKET RETURNS and 2 POP Series one Packs - along with the 6 packs they get at the beginning - 12 packs for $18.00!!!

Oh - and there is more!! FOR THIS EVENT ONLY - the winner of each age division will not only get the 6 packs guaranteed, no, for coming to MY event - the winner of each division will get a FULL BOX of Rocket Returns!!! WOW!!! Bigger prizes for 2nd, 3rd and 4th too!!! OF EACH DIVISION!!!

oh and there is more lol. this is sounding lke it will shape up very well. since Jon is having his prerelease a week before this one that means i can make it to both as long as i can get a ride. if i get a ride, well then expect me there(even though Germantown beat my High School in the championship game a year ago). hope to see the Memphis and St.Louis crew in November

We are ready here. I am doing my best to find 4 or 5 new players to add to the fun. Hopefully I can get them to come.

Everyone coming to the prerelease should try and bring at least 1 new person so they can see what they have been missing....friend, cousin, brother, sister, whom ever yyou can find. Will be lots n lots o' fun.

Meg45, your Sanctioned modified after the event is not listed for an event on the tournament finder, is this one Pending on participation?

The modified after event will be sanctioned, I will look into seeing why it is not showing up.

Hope there is enough interest - yesterday at St. Louis we had 16 wanting to after-draft, and only 2 wanting to Modified....

There will be more, MANY more in Memphis though!

The two drafts will.

I checked and made sure that the modified format event is sanctioned, and yes it is.

If we have time, we will run the modified after event after the drafts, even if we have to take it to the lobby! I will be staying there ALL NIGHT! (no more midnight drives for M45!)

Oh, and we will have trouble for Team Rocket - Maxie and a Team Magma Schemer will be in the house, to make sure that Team Rocket simply SURRENDERS NOW!!! LONG LIVE TEAM MAGMA!!!

Wow. Thanks Vince. But it looks like we won't make it this time. :o My sister has an out of town soccer tournement (I swear these things HAVE to be sceduled by soccer people to purposefully interfere with Pokemon <.<) and my dad is already gonna miss Sunday of it to come back for the [shameless plug] pre-release here at Books-a-Million in Jackson, MS [/shameless plug]. Not only that, I have the league to run and no one yet to take over for me when I have to go to tourneys. o_x; However I did win first in Mandeville, and Alan made second in his division. (Today is his birthday so he's moving up to my age group now >_>) So, since we can't make it....all ya'll should come down and visit us! ;)

Chaw, an event without the Schells? Won't quite feel right, but we will make it!

Just so you know - your free pre-release will roll over into any after-draft or other limited event you do, whether it is at Cities, another Pre-release, states, gym, stadium, nationals, worlds, you got it!

I will miss you guys! Good luck to Anna in her soccer exploits!

Old, but young enough to stay in the division!

That division is going to be WAR in the qualifiers next year - with the youngers stepping up and the olders remaining for at least one more year!

WOW - What is the over/under for attendance tomorrow - anyone??

I give it an 85

Tell you what, if it's more, I'll buy the Pizza for lunch, but if it's less, I guess I'll just have to buy the Pizza...if it is right at 85, we will bill Professor Chris, and have him pay for it next time.

I think its going to be right at 80... I am forever pessimisticly optimistic. If all goes well, I should have 4 to 5 new players.
