I juist saw Pokemon the First Movie again after some years and noticed the guy that Ash battles at the beginning has a Team Aqua sign on his head band (or how do you say it) o_O Its quite fascinating how they first thought of Team Aqua at the same beginning

well, this could mean one of a few things.
1, Nintendo planned this storyline from the beginning

2, They referred back to old work for ideas

3, It could just be a coincidence.

I doubt they had Aqua planned since way back then. And if they'd referred back to it, they woulda mentioned that bit of trivia by now. Just a coinkydink. Same guy with same bain probably designed both.
