Since DCE and x2 weakness is coming back. What would you face look like if your opponent put out a Kecleon (colorful body) out as active, fully loaded? already doing 10 x your weakness. Oh, add expert belt. 30... that becomes 60. Then any additional dmg for every heads. Is this a future possible threat? Regarding the typical counters, would you every want this in front of you?

I was thinking about this deck back when RR first came out. It was way too slow, but it seemed really entertaining at least - run lots of Special energy (+ DCE now), and Lucario GL (only slightly necessary now). Special Metals and Darks benefit you. With DCE and a Special Dark, you're doing an average of 80-120 damage.
It needs a Mewtwo and Dialga counter, though.

Kecleon can be taken out very easily due to low HP

But it benefits from Snowpoint Temple and Shaymin Lv. X. 130 HP! Also, Floatzel GL! You don't lose your energy when it's KO'd!

@Kayle: Ahhh yess another thing i missed!!
@FrozeNip: Low Hp is a distraction. There are plenty of cards that bring it up. ExpertBelt, snowpoint temple, +40 then Metal energys to recieve less dmg.
CounterN basic counters is the only prob. Maybe Zangoose. Thas what ima do.

Guys... since it's every type you have to factor in resistance as well.
So yeah, these cards have 2x weakness, but even most basics have a -20 resistance!

Weakness comes before resistance. Im already happy that im doing way more damage than w/o the bonus'

"most basics"?
Basics of a type with a generalized resistance, yeah, they will have -20 (-30 if they're from HGSS).
That doesn't scare Kecleon too much. Besides, if it's getting in your way, drop Sunyshore.

@Kayle:
What was the electric gym stadium that gives your electric no weakness, and moves not affected by resistance?

^^; thats most embarising. Sorry. Im not taunting anyone.
Back to back posts merged. The following information has been added:
So far, im thinking a deck with Kecleon would look something like...
3 Kecleon
2-2 Shaymin (and/ or Cherim)
Possibly Exploud (for no weakness) or LucarioGL for x2 weakness
2-2 Darkrai in order to continuely place darks.
1-1 FloatzelG lvlX
4 DCE
3 Rainbow Energy
4 (s)Dark energy
4 (s) Metal energy
3 Expertbelts
4Snow point temple
2Sunyshore stadiums
(hmm, what else would break this deck?) Since this is a basic pokemon, it should run easily!
Oh, right, we need counters for that blasted dialga body hater...

- You don't need Darkrai if you're running special dark energy anyway.
- Not sure what the point of Rainbow is. Floatzel and Shaymin are both poor attackers and Kecleon only needs colorless.
You could go Blaziken FB for Dialga.

@Kayle:
Well for Darkrai, it can do many things. One, there is a non-lvlX that gets any kind of energy from deck. Next, Basic darks are easier to control, but i understand if you run floatzel there is no need to fear.
True, what would you think about Zangoose?

IIRC, HGSS Pokémons have -20 Resistance. I don´t know why they changed the Weakness to x2 without changing Resistance too.

Huh. You're right, I didn't catch that. o_O
@Mewtral: Zangoose is all right, I'd go for some kind of evolution personally... Ninetales OHKOs it, so that's a possibility.

-20 Resistance is better IMO. I like the change back to x2 weakness, but I'm glad they didn't go to -30. It was 10 too many.

My face would look like this when they flipped three tails:
I'd look like this if they flipped three heads: :nonono:
It's a little too luck-based for my tastes. Relying on coin flips is never a smart play.

Actually the point was to avoid the coin flips. They are extra. Imagine then a Kecleon with 2 (special) Dark energys and a (special metal). Also imagen a expert belt on it. Finally LucarioGL on the bench. (For all purposes we won't even start on all the grass bonuses) So now your actives weakness is x2 and my base dmg is 50+. Then multiply the 50+ x2 for weakness and boom, 100+ dmg.

when you can constantly get this out game after game, PM me, but this seems to perfect...
Floatzel doesn't work with Kecleon. If you read floatzel, the water pokemon goes to the discard and then is returned, but Kecleon's body does not come into play if it is in the discard.
Also, Machamp.

^^The body is as follows-Whenever any of your Water Pokémon (excluding any FloatzelGL) is Knocked Out by damage from your opponent's attack, you may put that Pokémon and all cards that were attached to it from your discard pile into your hand.
I'm thinking that since kecleon was a water type when it was Knocked out it still gets rescued by floatzel.
Controversial

Correct, per the Compendium.
"Q. If I have a Floatzel GL Lv.X with "Water Rescue" on the Bench and my Kecleon is knocked out, does it return to my hand because of Kecleon's "Colorful Body" making it a Water Type Pokemon?
A. Yes, Kecleon would return back to your hand. The check for Water Rescue happens when a Pokemon is KO'd, even though the rescue is from the discard pile. It is still the same Pokemon in the discard pile, even if it isn't Water type any more. (Jun 18, 2009 PUI Rules Team)"
