I got it, but the chances for me seem a bit off. In other routes I would be getting !! and !!! with every time I'd try to use the PokeRadar, but for this route, it doesn't seem to be the case.

I picked that up for both HG and SS. My HG only was started. I used the yellow forest on the pokewalker to get a pikachu before I even got to Violet city lol. So now I have a nice little pika and I have a few birds to beat up.

Step 2: Use pokeradar. You will have a 3% chance of finding surf pika, and a 2% chance of encountering fly pika.

The chances have GOT to be better - or i am extremely lucky. Got flying 3 times in a row after work today. (I went over 18,000 steps at work if that makes any difference)

Haha got the numbers from serebii, wasted 400W and then traded the pikas over, (I was catching "!!" and "!!!" patches) Came out with 2 surf and 1 volt tackle. I was furious because they weren't fly, could've gotten surf from PBR.

P.S. Does anyone know if the moves can be bred? I highly doubt it but the thought of a flying/surfing ampharos brings tears to my eyes.

10,000 bare minimum to even get the flying pikachu. You can reduce that number by 25% if you put a ground, electric, or grass pokemon into the pokewalker.

You can reduce that by a ton if you stick it on top of your fan at night :tongue:

I still can't get that Fly Pikachu... I saw one, but I had to Critical it... I have like 2 Surf and the rest are meh. Volt Tackles are there, but I want FLY!

Ive been trying a lot to get a special pikachu and have yet to see one. I had >10000 steps at one time.

it takes more than a day to get one. took me a week before i finally got my flying one. :(
