As Martin just said, The San Diego Clan will be present for this one. I just hope we can have a successful road trip where we don't nearly kill ourselves in the process.

cool, you can double the prizes of the CCs? Hmm... A great suggestion to our people here. Is there a condition or something?

Thanks. Sorry I can't go. I'm in a different country, lol.

11/23/2004, 12:41 PM

Well if Jerry is running the event, then we know this should be a good one.

11/23/2004, 05:54 PM
Not sure if I will attend. If I can pull off a miracle and get 3 of those Blastoise cards by Saturday, then i will go... But those double prizes and close location are tempting...

Based on your posts & discussions over the last week, I'm expecting 40+ and over 10 players in the 11-14 and 15+ groups. I'm prepared with double prizes for only 2 groups, therefore. If I'm surprised by the 10- I'll figure something out. If you're even thinking of bringing a 10-, please PM me. So far we have 1 (come on Rainman ;-)).

Almost everyone I know who is a strong player from the SoCal tourney scene knows how to treat other players and judges at an event and keep things fun, better than I can explain. It is because of those people that SoCal rules and is attracting more players to the tourney scene.

However, for the record here's a partial look at my expectations:

Play at an even pace and make sure your opponent knows what you're doing and why you can do it.
Play Pokémon, not mind games: misdirection, rushing (e.g. by suggesting a play) & stalling are not welcome.
Help your opponent learn the game and avoid rules lawyering.

This is a very nice venue. The local players would like Pokémon to continue here. Please pass quietly through the main library. The meeting room is downstairs, next to the Children's library.

I'd like to get in a finals cut, but this will depend on how quickly players arrive and how easy it is to set up between rounds (i.e. we have people's attention). Want to help us get to elimination finals?

Download and fill out a deck list in advance. (http://op.pokemon-tcg.com/tournaments/pdfs/deck_registration.pdf)
Arrive by 10:30am!

hmmm, what won?

11/28/2004, 08:58 AM
Was it Blaziken that won 15+? Crobat/Dark Crobat might have won 11-14, unless I am mistaken.

That was a pretty big tournament. Seemed rather big for the room we had.

11/28/2004, 07:19 PM
yea i would havt to agree big room but to many ppl(good thing). It was blaze that won and i think first was a crobat or magma.

11/29/2004, 05:36 PM
lol... I heard someone got yelled at.

Anyways. heard it was good... hope GenCon get a decent turnout this time (not like last year). Hope to see everyone there.
