Simple. Attack/Buildup the water guys, all the while throwing a tad of fire everywhere, so you could attack with cheap Charmeleon, or surprise drop with Moltres =x

Because Japan won Worlds with Magma decks so now they have become popular. Then they were being countered by Aqua decks. And now those are being countered with.......

Because Magma is speed crazy and sets up supremely fast with only stage1s and basics.And people underestimate it by thinking they only attack with Groudon but Magma players are not afraid of using Claydol or Camerupt to exploit weakness.

AXE: Magma decks are still amazingly fast, and then also have alot of their weaknesses covered. The ability to pull a turn 2-3 ko with zangoose or groundon is pretty nasty, and not everyone is playing monarchy.

How stupid would it be to start a post asking what's in the Blaziken/Lanturn deck when I could just get the answer here especially since if no one is posting new CC decks here there is nothing for them to talk about. Also this is kind of on topic since the Blaziken/Lanturn deck is listed as one of the decks that one but all that's being posted is the name of the decks which doesn't help a lot of players on Pokegym so maybe the people that know what the decks that won there CC should post the deck.

The Monarchy deck was stage-2 heavy (Nidos and Pidgeot). The D-Amphy/D-trode deck I saw as VERY efficient and speedy. The Monarchy was to combo-nistic and slow, comparitively speaking, despite having the weakness advantage. Plus, the Amphy player is consistantly a slightly better player than the Monarchy player. (Sorry Paul, not disrespect intended.)

Nevertheless, I wasn't there for the finals. So, I'm only guessing that speed and efficiency won despite the weakness.

and my comment. We WELCOMED the outside competition from Collinsville, Chicago and Memphis, heck even encouraged it...we wanted it to be the best!!!

Note, even with all the "foreign" players - St. Louis retained all 3 belts....

And yes, we are travelling to Chicago next weekend to play in "another"...the best competition likes the best competition, and I only get to play in a few events a year, I RUN the rest....

The goal is to make your gym and area be able to hold its own prizes....due to your play, not due to others staying away. Playing great competition only makes you better.

Last year at the St. Louis Gym....the trips were given to a player from Kentucky, a player from Tennessee, and one from St. Louis - we did not whine, the competition earned it...we extracted our revenge in Kansas City, taking 2 of the 3 trips up there!

this I made 2nd in 15+ with Blaziken.

I Lost to Gordon in the 1st Round.

It was 3-3 when time was called. If I had an
extra turn I would of won. So we played
Sudden Death and he won. After that I won 4
Straight beating 2 Dark Dragonites, 1 Dark
Ampharos/Wobbuffet, and 1 Glalie/ Togetic/
Wobbuffet Lockdown.

4-1 so I did pretty good.

Heyyy (it's me Mike)
Just so you know blastiose ex came second in 11-14 aswell as frist. 4-1 only cause i lost to bex ( play a blex deck) i would have one if i got 2 heads on blastiose. sooo close it was 5 %! grrr.
Round 1 played against Dragonight/troode (i placed a togitic in my deck :P) actully i just killed all his dark energy in one shot, so it wasn't the togitic.
Round 2 played against another version of blex against luke (bex) as i said...sooo clooseee.
Round 3 played agaist alittle newb play vileplume ex = free win for me
Round 4 played 10 - winner (t-tar and dragonnite) togitic saved me here.
Round 5 played Karl (slimeygrimey's brother) playing a king/queen deck...another close game ATM rock saved me here turn 1!
4-1 with 57 win% not bad....finnishing 2nd

Yep...The Deck I used was very unique so it caught everyone off-gaurd I had a 4-1 record :biggrin: I lost to a Blastiose EX deck and it was close too I attacked and he had 10 HP left on a Blastiose EX and I only had 2 prizes left, the worst thing about it was Desert Ruins was my next card :mad:
