donphan. Stage 1 one energy attack. just smash stuff for 60 a turn. Easy enough to learn i think.

Toxitank+Honchkrow G +Crobats isn't too hard, and is good Vs. Other Junior Decks (like the ones suggested above). It is also very consistant, which is paramount at a big tournament like nats.

Or you can try running a deck for her around Starmie (http://pokegym.net/forums/view.php?pg=tcgsearchcard&imageid=35779)!
It's good at sniping, retreating, and healing self by going back into hand.

For a total beginner, i would not suggest SP, because of all of the inventions.

I would suggest:

1. Straight Machamp (4-3-4 Champ + 3-3 Claydol)
2. Donphan or Don-champ
3. Straight Kingdra Prime (4-3-4, 3-3 claydol)

those would be the easiest to run IMO

Straight Machamp would be sufficient, but I would most likely recommend a SP Deck.

I know a kid, who came 6th at worlds, that is going to be there, and other people I know have SP decks and Donphan decks, and some with Machamp.

I would recommend run a SP deck with Mewtwo level X line of 1-1, also include atleast a Machamp counter, I would suggest Toxitank. Toxicroak active, with expert belt and 2 energys, while a stadium in play and skuntank G in bench to poison the opponent by it's ability. Which means Toxicroak G will hit 80, and it's ability prevents Machamp from knocking you out/ Donking.

Bibarel SF with claydol, uxies, pont, and some belts. Easy to the extreme and its consistent because all you have to do is evolve and attack. It's great for learning the game.

^ Agreed. Bibarel is a very easy deck for the beginning player, and it is pretty good
