Today is the last day to get your Club Nintendo account to either Gold or Platinum Elite status. So be sure to check your "To-Do" list and make sure you don't have surveys waiting for you to fill out, and double check your games, like HeartGold and SoulSilver.
This is the 2nd year that Club Nintendo will be shipping items to elite status members, and last year Gold Members received an Animal Crossing Calender and Platinum Members had a choice of either a Mario plush hat or download the exclusive Club Nintendo game - Doc Louis's Punch out, a 3 round punch out game for the wii.
Also, you will earn coins to get exclusive Club Nintendo items like Game & Watch collection 1 & 2 for DS, poster sets, and DS card & stylus cases.
I personally am Platinum for the second time. I cannot wait to see what we get this year!
EDIT: Here is what you get for 2010:
2011 Nintendo Calendar
Super Mario Character Statuette
Lime Face

Is this for America only, or can people from the UK do this too?

Last year I earned 610 coins. This year I got 600 coins. I am not sure if I will hit 600 this year however as I am not sure how many games that have the registration code I will buy.
Not that I have, but do all games including 3rd party games now include the ability to get coins for them?

Here is what the club Nintendo web site says:
Unredeemed Coins will expire two (2) full Club Nintendo years (July 1 - June 30), plus whatever is left in the current Club Nintendo year, after they are earned. Example: Coins earned in March 2009 would not expire until June 30, 2011.

OK. I don't feel so bad about being 30 coins short for a calendar [I earned 270 coins, for those who don't want to do the calculations].
Not that it's a bad prize or anything, though!

I for one would rather have the Platinum Prize as opposed to the Gold Status one. Not that it's not nice and all. It's just that Calendars don't hold much Value for Collectibles against a figurine. The Hat was Awesome for Platinum, but Calendars for Gold? Makes me wanna avoid getting a Gold Status. I used up most of my Coins so i don't lose them.

Figures I would only have 590 points...
*Edit*
I have not used my DSi points that came with it so I might put them to use.
