Cursegar: Do you think that Cursegar will survive this rotation, because its losing draw power, which is needed heavily. And moonlight, That will be the hardest... Then when it needs two psychic and a colorless, while losing Rosys.. I believe that Cursegar will lose its luster. What do you guys think?
Just post what you think and your reasoning.
Thanks:biggrin:

The rotation will hurt Cursegar badly but maybe we'll see some kinda of cursegar varitation with Gengar Prime's release.

It's super slow now. After rotation, it'll get wayyyyy to slow, to the point of unplayability, IMO.
Gengar Prime will change things though...

Yes cursegar now is not competitive. So a bad decks gets worse its not a big deal.

Cursegar was not a bad deck by any means. It won a few major things and topped alot. It just wasnt that widely played.

I played it, it gets outsped by everything so you are constantly plsying catchup in your games. there are so many better choices then this deck right now.

The reason Cursegar is not played as much anymore is because Jumpluff got popular. That is the only deck out there that has a really good matchup against it. Even Luxchomp against a good Cursegar list has a fairly even matchup. Still a good deck, but Pluff owns it.

The New Cursegar if any will have lightning Arceus instead of Cursegar. Same concept but is fast and can abuse weakness.

Cursegar isn't that back right now. With Tyranitar on the rise and ERL techs in Luxchomp decks it got some trouble, yes. But it's still competitive.
Gengar Prime will be a beast. It is difficult to play against Cursegar already because you have so many things to take care of (Shadow Room, Poltergeist, spread, Dusknoir etc), and Gengar Prime will make it even worse.
But on the other side, Cursegar loses not only Dusknoir, but also Mr.Mime.

That's because unlike decks like Jumpluff and Gyarados, it needs a lot of skill to play it well.

Lightning Arceus? lol
Then rather play Magnezone which should be better than Cursegar after rotation. Faster energy attachment (power and/or DCE), as well as extra draw support and a heavy beatdown-option with Magnezone Prime.
