Chatter Locking spiritomb can be a good strategy. You chatter lock till time than take your turn and grab a prize. What happens if the other player kills off spiritomb with darkness grace? How should one play that situation?

just play on as you normally did, i would opt to not Chatterlock when your opponent can get out of it.
Well gee, if you're gonna Chatter them and don't realize that they're killing their Tomb off by evolving, you're doing it wrong.

Evolving 6 times might also not be in the realm of possibility.

What? of course you'd realize it, im just asking what you do once it happens? play the game like normal hoping that the prize they gave you gives you an advantage?
Chatter locking them is not a good strategy if they have the possibility of evolving 6 times. You'd be crazy to even try that strategy the whole game. You can try and stall them by not allowing them to retreat, however that gives them time to build up their field.
If you base your whole deck around Chatter locking, well then, good luck.

you could try cyclones to get out of trainer lock early game (this would only work if they didnt play down a 2nd spiritomb first) and then work on killing off whatever they are trying to set up. or play vilegar yourself and not worry about it =P

It's hard to completely Chatter Lock the entire game. If they play Warp Energy, then you just allowed them to set up and start doing damage to you - when you haven't even taken a prize yet. That's going to be hard to deal with, depending on what deck is playing tomb. I know I managed to get away with it at Nats, but I also set up three different Chatter Locks, and I had to since Mewtwo was on the board. But, yeah, don't rely on it. Bottom line.

Dont chatter unless it will win you the game in the first place.
In the case that you do for some reason, use the 5 turns wisely and be ready to pound their face in after they use an attack to kill themself. But they probably wont get as far as six evolutions in the current format anyway.

Chattering Vilegar/spiriplume at the start of the game is really just kind of stupid. They will set up, warp out, and start taking prizes all nasty-like.
You're better off just knocking the stupid thing out.

If your deck uses a fair amount of setup then why not chatterlock while you both set up, even if they can kill themselves? You get the first attack, no?

This is why I think alot of people are gonna run Warp Energy in decks with Spiritomb.

Or Darkness Energy / Rainbow Energy to attack with it.

Or Ruins of Alph so that Chatter will KO it.
Or play some Pokemon that will affect Chatot or Spiritomb with a special condition.
These are some other overlooked options.
