Whuh? (http://www.rockman-duel.com/)

Okay. The two yellow buttons are teaser trailers, and the big red one is apparently a promo tie-in.

I suppose I can understand this from a marketting point of view. They're both juggernaut licenses in their respective fields and both have products in the other's field, so they wanna cross-pollinate the fan bases. But from the point of view of someone who plays both...

eh? What the heck? I've never seen either franchise's anime. Is there ANY justification for a crossover?

Seems pretty random. I can't even begin to think where they got the idea to merge the two properties. Its almost as if a dart board was involved...

Lol well here's Joe Monkey's theory (he told me today)

Duelmasters is a card game
Megaman NT has a card game (made by Decipher)

'Nuff said that's the closest we could come up with as to what's common between them :p

Megaman NT has a card game that no one plays because there's only one MegamanX card, and no MegamanZero cards. :X

That's what I said about cross-pollinating fan bases. DM would also like a bit of the console game pie. Given that they're two different card companies, though, it's an odd sort of scratchy-backy. Does Decipher also handle whatever TCG Megaman has in Japan?

I don't think Megaman even has a TCG in Japan... The reason for this truly makes no sense.

What doesn't make sense is why they refuse to make an anime for MegaManZero, MMBN is a horrible megaman series, and comboed with this cracker TCG Duel Masters will just ruin it. :X dumbest. idea. evar. :X :X :X

I usually enjoy the occasional crossover in series', but I dunno. You can't expect to mix water and fire and end up with gold.

Why can't properties just stick with whatever they started with? Megaman could just stay a game, DM a card game, and we all could sleep easier.

Although, let's count Pokémon as a TV/Video Game/TCG property. ^_^

I mean like they live in 2 different worlds!!!There is no way they could join!

Well, it's not so much that reason for me, it's that they have next to nothing in common. How can you link two things that are completely unrelated?

Static Shock meets the Justice League is weird, but they are all superheroes. "The Critic" on "The Simpsons" is weird, but they're both from Gracie Films (the "Shush in the Movie Theater" thing).

But what do Megaman and DM have in common???

I seen both anime and I'm not impressed. Though I used to download Megaman fansubs, the translators screwed a good (but not Excellent) anime. Duel Masters is just...really bad with cheesy-looking 3D monsters, theyt look cooler on the cards and even then the card game is nothing impressive either. I have to say they made a big mistake putting these two shows together, a BIG mistake indeed.
