Heathens! You call this an anime forum and there has not been ONE thread discussing the new Viewtiful Joe anime series!? (Don't even get me started on the lack of School Rumble, Genshiken, and Bleach ;) ) Its only up to episode 5 right now but I absolutely love it. For some reason I really like the opening (Brighter Side), too bad there isn't a full version single out yet. The animation is quite well done and while it does deviate from the game after the first episode (haven't even played the game much seeing as I don't own it) it works well stand-alone. Its sceduled to run 52 episodes and I absolutely cannot wait to see more! Discuss! And repent! :p
P.S. If you haven't seen it yet, or any of the afore mentioned titles, go download them!

Bleach is good. School Rumble is okay, but I hear those are coming down soon. I haven't heard or seen anything about Viewtiful Joe, hoping it wont be another title made just to rake in the cash (but almost certainly is).

*heart leaps upon seeing something Viewtiful Joe related in the anime forum*
So there's a VJ anime? Sweet!
This requires further investigation.

Here you go: http://anidb.ath.cx/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=anime&aid=2611 :D You can download the 5 current subbed episodes through AnimeSuki, just go to the"Series" section and scroll down 'til you find it. Its rather odd the anime is in japanese seeing as the game was in english even in Japan. And I hear there are plans to bring it to the States soon enough, hopefully they'll keep the VAs from the game.

Media factory inc. e-mailed AnimeSuki and requested they stop, but since AnimeSuki is only a bunch of links all they could do is not link to Media Factory inc.'s series (School Rumble, Genshiken, and some others). Most of the fansubbing groups are continueing.
Almost forgot, the only group currently, consistantly subbing the anime is rather new, so download the first episode from RevQuest if you want the karoke and translation of the OP and ED songs.
