Hi, Thanks for your help,

my question is;

in a recent game against my friend i used (R) Drowzee Poke Power called Long Distance Hypnosis which put my apponent's Magmortar asleep. In my apponents following turn he played the Switch Trainer card - withrdawing his magmortar for a benched pokemon (thus curing its sleep) and in the same turn played a second Switch Trainer card placing his magmortar (now recovered) back into play alowing him to attack as normal. I was under the impression that using the switch trainer card (and similar) counts as retreating albeit with out the cost and can only be done once per turn. Was this move legal? can he play 2 Switch cards in a single turn?

Many thanks again for your help?

While the effect is similar to Retreating, it is not Retreating.
You can play a Switch card as often as like, just like any other Trainer.

Retreating is the specific game action that you can do without playing any card and requires you to pay the Retreat cost (if any) that is printed on the card.
