DCE-retreating

Hi, if you had a pokemon with a 2 retreat cost, would you be aloud to simply discard just 1 DCE
for your retreat, or does it only count as 1 of the 2 energies?? Thanks :thumb:

Also as you know when your opponent dosn't get a basic in their oppening hand, you get to draw a card,
as you also know when you have no cards in your deck and you need to draw you lose, so I was wondering
if you could make a deck with no basics in it, so your opponent keeps drawing until they can no longer and
so you automatically win?? (If that makes sense)

1. Yes you would. They used to give this example in the Rule Book. They still might.

2. Well, two things keep that from working. First, a legal deck has to have at least one Basic Pokemon in it. Second, the draw is optional. They can stop drawing whenever they want.
