Raticate Arceus Recruit

If you use Raticate (http://pokegym.net/forums/view.php?pg=tcgsearchcard&imageid=49160) from Arceus's Recruit and you find only one Supporter and you do not wish to use it. Do you still have to use it? I saw a similar question in the Compendium about Shiftry EX so I think you have too but I was not 100% sure.

Yes, you have to.
But even if the Supporter is one that you can't use, you can still discard it.
