This is my deck list for ChandyPlume. It’s okay at setting up, but how could I make it faster?
Pokemon (26):
4-3-4 Chandelure (Litwick Promo)
2-2 Dodrio
3-1-2 Vileplume
1-1 Blissey Prime
1 Cleffa
1 Jirachi
1 Victini (V-Create)
Supporters/Trainers (24):
4 Pokemon Collector
3 Sage’s Training
3 Twins
3 N
1 Seeker
3 Pokemon Communication
3 Rare Candy
1 PONT
1 Flower Shop Lady
1 PETM
1 Tropical Beach
Energy (10):
5 Psychic
3 Fire
2 Rescue
Strategy: Get Vileplume out ASAP to set up the Trainer Lock early. Then, start setting up multiple Chandelures and a Dodrio to get free retreat to spread damage with Cursed Shadow. Later in the game, set up a Chansey to use Blissey Prime when needed to remove all damage from my Chandelures without discarding many Energies (since this deck does not use a whole lot of Energy the majority of the time). Seeker is used to bring Blissey back for a second Blissful Nurse. Cleffa to start the game off. Jirachi is used later in the game to devolve the opponent’s Pokemon (lowering their HP) instead of having to spread a ridiculous amount of damage to those high HP cards. I have been testing Victini out in this deck and it works wonders! I usually always have my bench full so the ability to do 100 damage for 2 energies instead of having to slowly spread is a nice option. Let me know how I can fix this! Thank you!
I really love the celebi in here. I've top cut with chandy/plume multiple times, 1 with a victini v-create tech (really helped with the durant match up, and CaKE, the two hardest match ups IMO) Only thing I can suggest is up the energy count, or take out the 1-1 blissey prime. I've never liked blissey in chandy/plume but I can see why it's really good in it. And I would try to fit a flower shop lday somewhere, possibly for -1 N.

Truthfully, this list isn't bad at all, but it could use a little improvement.
- 3 grass
- 1 seeker
- 3 pokemon communication
+ 3 rainbow
+ 1 N
+ 3 good supporters

Celebi is interesting, but it doesn't really do much against the vast majority of meta decks (CAKE, Durant, ZPST, 6 Corners, Reshiram-based decks or the mirror) because they either rely on basics or non-damage attacks/abilities. Actually, I'm not sure it will help against Eel-based decks or Truth decks either, since they also can use basics to attack. Putting that aside, however, I would suggest:
-1 Lampent
-1 Virizion
-1 Twins
-1 N
-2 Rescue Energy
+1 Communication/Professor Elm
+1 Rare Candy
+2 PONT
+1 Flower Shop Lady
+1 Psychic Energy
Virizion doesn't have enough HP to witstand attacks from Zekrom/Reshiram/Magnezone (or the new EXs), and doesn't seem worth the space for the occasional opportunity to draw 2 cards in the first couple of turns. If you want a secondary attacker, I'd suggest Mewtwo EX from the new set since it can use the grass energy as well and can abuse Dodrio.
I think 4 Twins is too many because a lot of people have figured out not to take prizes until they're set up. 3 still lets you abuse the engine, but gives you space for another Rare Candy, which will help you set up faster off the draw.
N can be great if you get behind or if you get the Beach out. However, I've found (having played the deck through CCs) that a mix of 2 Ns and 2 PONTs maximizes your ability to get the draw you need while still preserving the benefits of N. I think this is going to be the case even more after ND comes out, since people will play Skyarrow Bridge, making it less likely that Beach will stay in play if you get it out.
Having a 4th Communication or a PETM will help your consistency a lot. I personally use the PETM, since I can use it under lock. Others swear by 4 Communication. Which you use is a matter of preference, but I'd definitely have a total of 4 cards capable of getting your evolutions in any case.
2 Rescue Energy seems a bit of overkill. 2 Rescues will give you 6 Chandies, which should be sufficient to win. By removing them you can increase the Psychic Energy and make room for the last PONT. This still leaves you with 10 energy, which I think is enough. Even if you feel like you need more energy than that, I still would decrease the Rescue line and increase the basic energies.
Finally, Dory mentioned Flower Shop Lady, which I agree would be helpful and further minimize the need for the 4 rescue energies. If you wanted to include FSL, I'd take out 1 of the Lampents. You should be able to Candy into 1 of your Chandies and, even if you don't, the 2 Rescue Energy will allow you to preserve your Lampents for later use. I think in the long run, you'll get more use out of FSH than you do the 4th Lampent.
I hope this helps.

Thanks for the inputs! I really want to keep Blissey Prime because with most Pokemon topping at 120 damage (since Vileplume cancels PlusPowers) that leaves my Chandelures with 10HP left, and most of the time, with no energies attached to them, I would love to get that damage off for free. Also after looking at the Top Tier decks and considering that new EX Pokemon are being released next week (all of which I'm pretty sure are Basic Pokemon), I decided to remove the Celebi Prime. I updated with the new decklist.

Take out a Chandelure for a Lampent (Vileplume is your top priority, Rare Candy rarely gets used on Litwick. Either use a 4-3-3 line, a 4-4-3 line, or a 4-4-4 line). Personally I think 4-4-4 is ideal, but 4-4-3 is okay. Lampent is extremely useful for Luring Light, far more than you might think.
Needs Pichu! Pichu helps sooo much for setting up. Most builds only use one AFAIK but I use two, because if it's Prized I often have trouble setting up. 4 Twins is also incredibly helpful, especially if you use Pichu.
Also IMO Fire are superior to Rainbows, if you attach a Rainbow to Chandelure you now have 120 HP which is within KO range of a lot more (Blue Flare and Bolt Strike being the main ones).

One thing I forgot is the new Chandy from ND. You may want to consider a Chandy line of 3x NVI and 1x ND. It gives another use for the Fire energy (which I agree should just be basic Fire), helps deal with the Absol tech and gives you a better match up against Durant.

I am confused. Someone tell me why you would play pokemon comm. in a trainer lock deck?

To search out Vileplume. Basically instead of having 2 "Vileplume" cards in your deck excluding Twins, you have 5. Also let's you lower your hand size for Tropical Beach, return useless Pokemon to your deck, and is discardable through Sage.

That is true, but it is kind of inconsistent with the flow of the deck. You use one and the other two don't do anything. I can understand the value, but the deck works just fine without pokemon communication.

I love the techs in your deck. I played ChandyPlume at a local cities and went 7-0 with it. But in my deck I went for a non-attacking version. So I had a 2-2 line of Blissey prime and a 1-1 Darkrai Cresslia Legend. Very good to counter against Renucleus. IMO 3 N is not needed and would drop one for another PONT. Also I would drop one Pokemon Communication for one more Seeker. Sense you have PETM the 3rd Communication isn't needed.

So by that logic, you shouldn't play Rare Candy either? Yeah, you might have 2 dead cards in your deck, but once you have Vileplume, your opponent will have many more dead cards than you, and you can always discard them with Sage. And with PLume, getting a dead topdeck or something generally doesn't matter so much, because once you set up, you're generally good for the game. Finally, if necessary you can Seeker up your own Vileplume and use Communication to get what you need, then Rare Candy another Oddish back to PLume or Evolve a Gloom.

Yeah I was testing out the deck, and I guess I forgot that Victini was really the only one that needed an energy other than Psychic  Anyways I substituted the Rainbows for Fire Energies.
These different ideas for techs are also very helpful! I see how Darkrai Cresselia LEGEND would be useful in some situations and I would have to try that one out.

Yeah I was actually looking at that myself. Basically a Cursed Shadow x3 for only one Energy and it gives me an attack to use for once! Thank you for all of the suggestions!

Again I was saying I agree with your logic for this deck, but generally candy is the only trainer in trainer lock. As you said there are many ways to dump them if you don't need them.

Yep. As far as I know most Trainer lock builds use 3 Communication, I have in every Trainer lock deck I've played this season (used Trainer lock at Regs, 3 CCs, and a BR), Ross used 3 in his Worlds deck, and most lists I see online play 3 as well. It helps a lot.
