The ELO system in the ladder seams to have something weird going on with it. The rating change for some games seems very low and for others very high. Either the system is broken, or the K values were changed. If the K values were changed, can we get them retroactively applied to the old games? If the system is broken, can someone look into it?
Maybe I just don't understand the system well enough and need someone to explain to me whats going on.

What he said.

One of my games netted me 26 points, the other 3. *shrugs*

K value is set at 50 for each match.

This has not been changed since the system was rolled out.

I will look into it further, but that is what I am seeing at the moment.

The early games clearly had a 6 K value. Evenly rated players were gaining and losing 3 points at a time. Thank you for looking into this!

so far my only game with 50 was against Diaz.

How ever another game against sp trainer where the challenge was issued today only had a k value of 6 aswell.

Not really sure what happened.

K-Value does continue to be weird as far as I can tell.

Well, I have forwarded this issue to the Mod Designer for some assistance. I am not finding why it is doing this, so I will have to wait for a reply from him or find a better system for it.

Thanks for pointing this bug out, but for the time being I have no way to fix it.

I think I figured it out...If the person with a higher ELO wins, it does a K-Value of 6. If the person with a lower ELO wins, it appears to be giving a K-Value of 50.

That's what I've noticed as well.

Is there any way to change that?

Taking 9 wins to make up for 1 loss is a little bit harsh for an unlucky loss.

I don't think that it's automatically a K-value of 50. I believe it has an algorithm based on how different your score or ELO or ladder placement difference is. I think that it's screwy right now because there are A LOT of people who are inactive and therefore messing up the algorithm based on number of players and placement difference.

I could be totally off on that, but it does seem like there are about the same number of people above 1000 as below it.
