I have not recieved any e-mail notifications from PokeGym lately, and I have not changed any of my settings. So, is there some sort of error wih PokeGym sending out the automated e-mails or is it just me?

As of right now, AOL is blocking us from sending email to them. I've emailed them asking to to be removed, but as of right now, if you are using an address from aol.com or cs.com, you will not recieve the messages.

If you'd still like to recieve messages, try using an alternative email address.

All my accounts are on AOL. Do you know how long it will be until they unblock you?

I sent an email to them the other day, but I'm not sure. Could be a week, could be never. If needed you could try getting an account on hotmail.com or some sort.

I do apologize for this, but it's competely out of my hands until AOL gets things situation on their end. I'm of course will continue trying to get it fixed.

Bringing this back to the top instead of starting a new thread.

Our host (AvidNewMedia) added a news article yesterday related to this topic. Here is that article:

AOL Unwarranted Blocking of Emails

AOL/Timewarner's recent actions hinge on libel. "They are costing networks, datacenters, and hosts money." said Mark Klink, co-president of AvidNewMedia Hosting

In a conversation with Klink, Mr. Klink stated that he is aware of the issue, and their staff is taking considerable measures to fix the issue.

The blocking began to show it's horns about a week ago, and was noticed when the AvidNewMedia technical support staff, attempted to notify clients of another, unrelated issue. The emails bounced, with an explanation of spam, being the leading issue, and that the server was blocked from sending emails to any AOL or AOL related email address, including CompuServe and RoadRunner (aol.com, cs.com, and rr.com).

The network administrator was able to work around this temporarily, for approximately another week.

Klink stated, "AOL is on a blocking frenzy, and appear to be inducing huge network wide blocks. The majority of them are un-warranted, unannounced, and violates SMTP RFCs, not to mention the 'good neighbor' conventions of Internet communications."

Klink has made no official statement regarding any losses AvidNewMedia may have encountered, nor has he commented on any further steps or measures, planned by AvidNewMedia.

Keep in mind that you still will not recieve email from us if you are using aol.com, rr.com or cs.com. Please use an alternative email until this problem is resolved.

I just got all of my e-mail notifications today so I am assuming AOL fixed the problem and that everything is back to normal.

Yeah, AOL should be back up and running, this topic is now being taken off of sticky.
