A quick disclaimer here. What Jason was doing game 1 was letting time run out while you were poisoned so that game 2 would have less time. It was a very strategic move, and as it turned out in game 2, it was a very important strategy. Controlling tempo and pace of a game, especially in t16, where over 2 games almost NEVER happens, is incredibly important. With a horrible time limit system, a game 1 win means its almost impossible not to be able to play game 2 at a pace which causes it to end incomplete despite no actual stalling occuring.
On a diff note, I agree 100% about the stalling accusations, that was lame. I saw some of your games, there were no issues really. As for the face up deck check...eh, they never mandated you do them face up. I mapped mine in my hand and handed them to the judge. GJ at t8 anyways though.

Sorry to hear you didn't make it. What age group were you in? At least you didn't lose in the T16...

Yeah, it was a risky but smart move at the same time, as if you did make a full comeback to the point where you take over, he messed up bad. In other words, if all his reversals missed, which they almost did. Its very key in alot of decks ( Draggy, Zapdos, Muk, etc ) that you play slower, because you keep the tempo in your control and it fits your deck better, as if it goes to a game three, your deck is quick. With the current time structure this is a HUGE part of the game, and the problem is not much can be done about it. Its very key to know when to forfeit a game while you can.
As for the deck checkt hing....yeah, that was pretty lame, but I thought overall the event was pretty smoothly run, a few problems, but no major issues. I think you'll do just fine at the GCs though.
