I just found out that 4Kids had originally recorded a english version of "We Are" for use as the OP, but changed to the crappy rap version we have today. I've found it really low quality with alot of background noise so I can't make out some lines, so does anyone know where I can find a high quality version of this English "We Are"?

I could however make out that the lines "We are~ We are~ On the Cruise~" are missing :[ as well as "Pocket no Coins" :frown: and "One Piece!" is repeated at the end rather than that random "We Are!" which I had become accustomed to. =/ Overall it sounded pretty decent, A LOT better than the current dub OP.

I am actually all right with the current theme. I like how they reworked the classic pirate chant, you know? But I can definitely understand how some people could take a disliking to it.

I think the like... chorus part of it sounds alright. I don't like the part where they're rapping about the characters though. D:

Edit: Whoa, I had some crazy Engrish in the beginning there. o_o;

Yeah, there you go. I think you just led me to a breakthrough: the only part I like, really, is the chorus. Crazy, how you did that.

I actually can tolerate parts of the chorus but the rest of the song... (Don't give it up Zolo!) is crap. But alas. This thread is NOT ABOUT the current english OP theme for One Piece. .__. This is for the discussion of the English version of "We Are" that 4kids dubbed and initially planned to use as the opening theme and then changed at the last minute. I do still miss "POCKET no COIN, Soreto YOU WANNA BE MY FRIEND?" :frown: (obv. easilly translated to: "(A) Pocket of Coins, So do you wanna be my friend?" but then again I forget how the rest of the song goes in english so it probably didn't make good sense overall...but it sounded good by itself :tongue:) So, does no one know where I can find a HQ version of it? :(
