Ex Deoxys will be authorized, not Ex Emerald. Don't ask me why, it's a weird decision from our distributor, Asmodée éditions...
Well, for the France Championship 2004, the authorized expansions set were Expedition : base set => Ex Sansdstorm : the Format did not includes Ex Dragon/Team Magma vs Team Aqua/Hidden Legends...

Can english players take part? or
Les joueurs anglais peuvent-ils prendre la partie?
As i said somewhere else you definitly can take part in the tournament if you're a foreign player, but actually you can't win the trip. I would be pleased to see you in our Nationals anyway (but don't forget that Emerald will not be allowed when you build your deck...)!

Hum... I'm not sure that Ex Emerald expansion was released in Great Britain.

Does it mean that American/Canadian and English/Irish are the same? I thought that english-language European countries depended on Europe planning and exportations, not American planning.

Since a couple of sets, the date of release of the new sets is the same Worldwide ... except in France

Hum... I don't think that countries like Netherlands, Spain, Italy and especially Germany, since they decided to traduce the cards, depend on the American planning for release their expansion sets.
Actually what Michel means is that other European countries have Premier Events such as Pre-Release when a new US set is released. It's pretty common for those countries to sell US cards. In France you'll never see a shop selling US Pokémon cards, but I might be wrong for some shops in Paris... Anyway here in France we don't have any Pre-Release (with sealed deck and so on), and hardly we have CC and Nationals...
Sometimes I wish I were born in another country... France is... anyway...
