Final on cards for Pokemon players
POKEMON cards are still proving popular in Sussex as six dedicated players prepare for the nationals championships of the card trading game.
Ian Elliott, 18, and Andrew Stone 18, from Crawley; Nitish Doolub, 17, from Haywards Heath; Chris McGivern, 25, from Horsham; Stephen Kish, 16, from Hove; and Ollie Sitford, from Brighton, have all qualified for the Pokemon Trading Card Game (TCG) State Championships.
Victory at this level could mean they go forward to play in the world championships held in San Diego, California.
Ian, who won a regional round in Reading, said: “The nationals will be great.
“Pokemon TCG is a game for the whole family as all ages can enjoy it.”
Pokemon remains a popular playground craze with children.
Its makers say it requires logical thinking and helps to develop social skills.
The national championships will be held at Woburn Safari Park on June 18.

He won a side event? I didn't even know it was taking place. Was this when everyone else was playing? How many people took part?

Freddy, jokes or what, lol. Just got to say enjoy ur moment of fame, its not going to last very long, lol. As Nationals its there for taking! apart from anyone of those names u listed Oddish.
Oh Oddish, kinda reminded me of ur signature, highly entertaining for others to read i would have to say
"1st,2nd 8 players kos 2004/5
1st, 2nd pre-releases
and odd one or 2 1st at random tournament"
Freddy/Sami if we were to note down every 8 player tournies we won, there wouldnt be any space on the page, lol. I might try adding them to my signature, just for the hell of it......
