Well we arrive.I'm wearing a monstrously loud shirt reading "Board Addict".I register
my Sceptile/Magneton/Parasect deck and get a lovely goody bag.I sit down next to the Exeter
City Champion and State Champion,Sam R.I make a new friend,Ross, who is playing DragTrode.
That confirmed my metagame guesses.Lots of DragTrode.Anyway,it's a long time before the pairings go up.I'm playing David.

Round 1 v David

He gets a lone Magnemite.I get Sceptile pretty quickly.I win.1-0

Round 2 v ???

I think my stupidity costs me this one.He pounds me with a HL Ninetales.I Rare Candy to Sceptile ex and from there it's downhill all the way.1-1

Round 3 v Ross

It took me some time to work out that Ross had won a SC.I get Sceptile but he swarms and I can't KO them easily. He sends out R.Sneasel ex.Ouch.1-2

Round 4 v ???

All I remember is his horrible Growlithes. But I beat him with about
45 seconds to go.2-2

Round 5 v Joe

I forget Ancient Tomb does not cover exs. That costs me the game.2-3

I learn some shocking things about poachers. One species of giraffe is hunted so much,
there are only 40 left in the wild(in 2002)     .

Anyway I return for the raffle.Carl shouts out "118!"to which many players reply"Got your
number!".I win a playmat,which is cool.

Anyway:

Props
POP for a great day.
Those who did the fantastic BBQ
Slops
Me for having the IQ of a cloud sometimes(No offense to clouds).

sounds like you had a rough time, well done though. I think I know Ross too, he came 3rd, didn't he? He comes to my league. *looks chuffed*

yeah. he continues to PWN us in all major tournaments. he did come 3rd last year; but that was before I started playing "professionally" as it were, so I don't remember that.

No matter HOW well we play, he always seems to do 10 times better in 10-!!!

He got further than our 15+ top player (Gordon W, our TO/League Leader, came 17th) and our top 11-14 player (3 guesses who THAT'd be :thumb: came 7th).

anyways, well done. still be a while before I end up facing you at nats. stupid birthday.
