how to get to mirage island

:mad: now pardon my french but how the heck do you get to darn mirage island?
I've been search'n two whole weeks straight and the geezer still says he can't see it.
Is there something I'm forgetting to do here.so..................If anyone at all knows at all what to do please post your answers here.

There are different pokemon for EVERY game that you have to have on your team to get to the island. I STILL haven't figured mine out... :nonono:

Ok, here's the detailed explanation:

Everytime you catch a Pokémon, it is assigned a hidden, random number from 1 to 65536. Now, this number determines lots of things such as gender, personality, everything, but for now, forget all that and just know it has this number.
Now, each day the old man will also generate a random number between 1 and 65536. So, when you talk to the old man, he will check the hidden number to each one of the pokémon in your party, and see if it matches his number for the day.
If it matches, he can see Mirage Island, and congratulations. If not, no big deal, try again.
I really don't care to ever see Mirage Island. I can still get unlimited Wynaut through breeding, and the Leichi berry isn't the best berry out there. That is ALL there is to do. So don't get so angry and stressed over it.

okay --- This is the stuff on Mirage island:

The old man generates a random number between one and 65535. If one of your pokemon on your list's ID NUMBER matches that of the old man's, he sees mirage island.

On Mirage island, theres a 2x2 berry patch contaning a very rare berry and level 50 wynauts. I have had the chance to get there. not much point to it, but its nice.

no red, the notable difference is what i said says that the number is their id number, and not in fact a random number.

I was pretty sure it worked with the other number, but I'll look into it more.
Either way, the odds are very slim, hehe.

Yeah, if you block it you'll get a better effect simmilar to that of tomoto berry, but if you feed it normally you'll get an attack boost when you have less then 1/3 HP.
