What do you get for defeating Lady Astrid/Gentleman Nils?

I just defeated Lady Astrid's team, but your Pokemon don't get any experience, and you receive no money, so what's the point?

arient they on those e cards that you get w/ the game? i dont know. after i found out how to battle them, i had just reset my game so i havnt had the chance to battle any of them yet.

Yeah, but you can go to the Battle Tower and do 3-on-3 battles with level 50 opponents, and get prizes for winning (and ribbons)...

The Pokemon Battle-e Cards are pretty well just for fun, just like the Battle Tower, however makes great practice and tests your team to competition that you are most likely to see in Linked battles.
