What are they in general? Technical Machines from Aquapolis.

Go to that page and scroll down. All 8 of the Cubes' scans are on there. Expedition also had Multi Technical Machine 01, which is basically a Colorless Cube. ;)

It's just the card game's attempt to recreate the various TMs from the Game Boy game.

Each of the Cubes (from AQ and EXP) basically represent 1 color, and attack for 1 energy of that color, and can only be attached to a Pokemon of that color as well. The attacks are mostly good for their 1 energy requirement.

Dark Cube does 10 damage, and removes all trainers attached to the defending Pokemon, btw.

Yeah, this used to be a great card when Gold Berry and Focus Band were everywhere, but I'm not sure if it's much use now.

Colorless cube has always rocked in my opinoin

Grass, and Metal do very well also, and Water is pretty good too.

the 3 color cubes seem pretty well, with all 3 types attached of course

Psy and Fire arent half bad, Electric can be good again with Mgneton from Dragons, never did like fighting cube, but on High HP figters, it can be usefull,
