OK, I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this combo before but I think it rocks.
If your opponent has some super-strong Pokemon as Active you can:
Pull out a Light Ledian to the Active position, and use Flash Touch to bring out a Light Jolteon.
After that, just keep using Pulse Guard to stop all of that Pokemon's strong attacks.
Flash Touch will eliminate the Special Conditions and effects of attacks as long as Light Jolteon is Active. Pulse Guard will let you power up your strongest Pokemon to its highest level.
There is one thing I can see wrong, when Light Jolteon is called out by Flash Touch, there is a 1 turn gap that gives your opponent the chance to KO it.
I figure that this combo can work best against Lizard Poison Sceptile.
