Magcargo to manipulate crush draw. Fire and Metal energy is used to power Tyranitar in case a pkmn immune to ex pkmn is opponent's active.

Dude, way-ay-ay to many energies. You should have no more that 18-19, even that is on the high side.
You should have no Holon Energy, because you shouldn't really use Tyranitar to attack. Use like 11 water and you have 5 spaces for 2x Copycat, 2x PETM, and something else.

Don't run 3-2 Magcargo, do a 2-2 or 3-3, the extra Slugma is useless.

Why tyranitar? Just use walrein, it can't be stopped by frontier.

why poliwrath?

Xaej

Poliwrath UF

1. Anti-Safegaurd : It's a good heavy hitter you can use without being forced to bring out Tyranitar at the risk of getting K.O.ed.
2. Fighting Type : Many Dark, including T-Tar, are weak to fighting, plus the addition from Poliwrath's attack, you can hit many darks for 140 with it.
3. Politoed ex Hit and Run or whatever it's called lets you swap him for a benched afterwards, pull out Poliwrath if you can, then if someone KOs Poliwrath, now they're confused as well.
4. It makes use of the 4th Poliwag.

True, silly me, I added the Wrath but no energy for him to have fun with. Whoops! Looking good, though. Like I said, however, you may want to squeeze in some more draw somewhere, perhaps Copycat/Steven's Advice/Rocket's Admin ?

I ask again, why use tyranitar? Walrein is better. Matches your type too.

Yes, but Walrein is in HL.

You can still use HL. Hence the title for modified this year as HL-On.

When he posts his deck, its cool and all to help him with the cards he chooses. But consider that maybe he picked Tyranitar because he likes it ? Even though there may be a better alternative, give him a chance to be creative guys. Not all decks have to be exactly the same. If he wants to go with Walrein, cool. That's great. But I think that he should be able to get advice without people telling him to change the deck altogether. Not trying to sound rude or anything, just speaking my mind.

Thanks, Xaej! Actaully, i chose tyranitar for 2 reasons:
1. HL will be illegal in Feb.
2. I have tons of larvitars and pupitars. No spheals or sealeos.

Since when? Oo; First I've heard of this. Shouldn't HL-on be the current modified format up until the end of Worlds 2006?

Modified rotation occurs after worlds.

What made you think february?

Also, walrein's weakness is of no consequence, because if you're attacking with it then you're in a bad position anyway.

This is the most recent version of the deck he has posted, it has 60 cards, the labels are just incorrect. It should show 20 Trainers and 17 Energy. It adds up to 60. No lock.

I see no synergy between Politoed Ex and tyranitar, have Stage 2 just too poweer up another seems a waste of space. Vaporeon is a lot better, but if this deck is for fun its okay then
