== DARK TRANCE (Dark Dragonite - EX:Team Rocket Returns)

Q. Can you "Energy Trans" or "Dark Trance" a Rainbow Energy, Multi Energy, or any other special energy cards?
A. As long as they are providing the proper energy type and don't violate any other restrictions written on the card, then yes you may. (May 6, 2004 PUI Rules Team; Nov 17, 2005 PUI Rules Team)

***** PREVIOUS RULING: THIS ONE HAS BEEN UPDATED; See Above *****
Q. Can you Energy Trans a Rainbow Energy, Multi Energy, or any other special energy cards?
A. As long as they are providing Grass energy and don't violate any other restrictions written on the card (i.e. can't move Double Rainbow Energy to a basic Pokemon), then yes you may. (May 6, 2004 PUI Rules Team)

== POW! HAND EXTENSION (EX:Team Rocket Returns)

Q. Can you use "Pow! Hand Extension" to move a DRE to one of your opponent's Basic Pokemon, causing it to be discarded?
A. Yes, if you move an energy card which can't be attached to that Pokemon, the energy will get discarded. (Nov 17, 2005 PUI Rules Team)

***** PREVIOUS RULING: THIS ONE HAS BEEN OVERRULED; See Above *****
Q. Can you use "Pow! Hand Extension" to move a DRE to one of your opponent's Basic Pokemon, causing it to be discarded?
A. No, just like one cannot use "Energy Trans" or "Dark Trace" to move it to their own Basic Pokemon, the same applies so that an opponent cannot move it to a Basic Pokemon either. It could not be moved, therefore it would not be discarded. (Dec 9, 2004 PUI Rules Team)

ENERGY CARDS
----------------------------------------------------------------------

== HOLON ENERGY FF/GL/WP (EX:Delta Species)

Q. Does Holon Energy WP prevent effects (excluding damage) done by an opponent's Pokemon powers (i.e. Machoke's "Strikes Back")? Or does it only prevent the effects from an opponent's attacks?
A. It only prevents the effects (excluding damage done) from an opponent's attacks. (Nov 17, 2005 PUI Rules Team)

== DOUBLE RAINBOW ENERGY (EX:Team Magma/Team Aqua)

Q. Can I use attacks, powers, etc. to move an opponent's Double Rainbow Energy to a Basic Pokémon?
A. Yes, and if you do so the Double Rainbow Energy would have to be discarded since it cannot be attached to a Basic Pokémon. (Nov 17, 2005 PUI Rules Team)

***** PREVIOUS RULING: THIS ONE HAS BEEN OVERRULED; See Above *****
Q. Can I use attacks, powers, etc. to move an opponent's Double Rainbow Energy to a Basic Pokémon?
A. No. Moving a Special Energy is subject to any rules for allowing that Special Energy to be attached to the new Pokemon. (May 6, 2004 PUI Rules Team)

== R ENERGY (EX:Team Rocket Returns)

Q. What happens to R-Energy if the Pokemon it is attached to somehow devolves into a non-Dark Pokemon (i.e. Dark Dragonair becoming regular Dratini)?
A. The R-Energy would be discarded similar to the behavior of Double Rainbow Energy. (Nov 17, 2005 PUI Rules Team)
