Stuff from the professors 2003 tourney

I was wondering what the complete base set first edition holo set I won at the 2003 prof tourney @ Origins was worth. I was told they were off the first run. They are in mint condition. Any clue?

This set is centerpieced by one card, as we all know...Charizard, which still gets $25-$50 per card in minty mint shape.

Unfortunately, that is where the value of the set lies. The remainder of the holos usually net between 8-10 each, even Blasty rarely reaching 15.

Given that there are, what, 17 holos in the set, I would say you have easily a $200 item, that would EASILY sell for $130 with no problem.

Just my opinion from selling one Charizard and a bunch of the first edition holos...

I would have gone higher if I had known I'd been outbid. I'd get $50 for the Char so the other holos would only be costing me $6-7 each.

That auction sold low.
I think the timing (right between XMas and New Years) hurt it.
